An excellent replacement for the Regal Tip drumsticks
Regal Tip's 5A wood tip used to be my favorite drumstick. It had a finish that helped keep the sticks from flying out of your hands. Unfortunately, Regal Tip is no longer in business. These Vic Firth Double Glaze sticks are an excellent replacement. The finish reminds me of the Regal Tip finish. The sticks have a good balance and feel. They are my new favorite drumstick.

Best drum sticks
These are definitely the best drum sticks you can buy. They are more expensive than most . But you do get what you pay for

Good By Today's Standards
Good balanced versatile sticks. I mostly use these and 7As for jazz drumming. I will note back in the '90s sticks were built of higher quality and they didn't break or chip away so easily. I don't know if it's because they're manufactured using younger wood or what but drumsticks just don't hold up like they used to. Seems quality went downhill around 2000. This goes for Promark too.

Good price, good sticks minus the tape
I recently got into drums and needed some sticks that wouldn’t break the bank. These seemed perfect. I’ve never heard of the brand before but the reviews it had was enough to convince me to buy them. It usually goes for around $15 but I managed to get them while they were on sale for just $9.99. I’ve never used drumsticks before so I can’t compare these with others but I do like how they feel in my hand. They’re a good size and have a good weight to them. They seem well made as well, I don’t see them breaking anytime soon unless I throw it hard at a wall or something. I’ve been using them everyday for practice and they’re still in great condition. My wife isn’t too fond of all the noise that I make but we managed to compromise (I bought her a pair of noise reducing earplugs found here which seem to be doing the trick). Actually I eventually bought myself a pair as well..it helps me get into “the zone” so to speak. The only thing that I thought was weird is that it comes in a huge box! Like it’s not even the same size as the sticks. Who’s idea was it to do that?? Another downer that I want to mention is the tape. The drumsticks are held together by a strip out of the box but it’s SO hard to remove properly. You know how sometimes when you remove a sticker there’s that icky sticky residue leftover? That’s what you’ll get with these. It took me probably half an hour just to get it all off. It seems like I’m not the only person with the problem either as multiple people have mentioned the same thing on amazon. But I don’t regret buying them. They feel good in my hands and are a great weight. 9/10 would buy again :)

Vic Firth sticks are the best
I’ve been using Vic Firth 5AN nylon tip sticks for more years than I can remember. I like them best because the balance feels just right in my hands, the tips never wear out or come off - ever, and the finish has just the right amount of tackiness so they don’t slip. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is that they dent more easily than some other sticks. I suppose the way the wood is dried differs from some other brands. Anyway, I gig frequent;y and these never let me down.

The only sticks we will buy!
No more splinters from drum sticks! The comfort of the grip and weight of the sticks are ideal. I little more money than other sticks but well worth the cost.

Great!
After maybe 8 plays grip started falling off but they still work.
