Best budget 1080p 144hz gaming monitor
I purchased this monitor about a month ago, after researching like crazy all of the best budget 144hz gaming monitors. I went with this one because it is inexpensive (compared to other gaming monitors), has a color accurate ips panel (check out hardware unboxed's review on youtube), and has an excellent stand (which almost no other budget gaming monitor has). My experience with it so far has been excellent, the colors are a huge step up from my old 60hz TN panel, 144 hz is crazy smooth, and the stand is extremely helpful. Honestly, the stand is a huge upgrade, because if you want to get a stand for any other monitor, it'll probably cost you around $20, and the added flexibility afforded by the stand is amazing. I use this monitor with a Nintendo Switch, an Xbox One, and occasionally some 144 fps Minecraft gaming from my laptop. Yes, I am not fully utilizing the power of the 144 hz because I do not own a gaming pc, but I plan on upgrading to either the next gen consoles or a pc sometime in the next couple years, so I am future-proofing myself. The only thing I can say against this monitor is I have one dead pixel. Now, there is that zero dead pixel policy, so I could return it, but I spent a month waiting for this thing to get back in stock, and I do not plan on doing that again. Also, the pixel is completely unnoticeable unless I set the screen completely white (which never happens in normal use), am looking directly for dead pixel, and get within several inches to a foot of the monitor, which I do not do except in rare circumstances. Oh and it is 1080p, but at 24 inches, 1080p is plenty for most gaming and other uses, it is pixel dense enough. Pros: - Great value for the price - Great stand - Color accurate ips panel (it's also fairly bright, at least for gaming) - 144hz - Long term warranty Cons: - 1 dead pixel (which, thanks to the warranty, I could get fixed if I wanted to, but it is unnoticeable) In conclusion, this is an excellent monitor which offers the most value among all of the gaming monitors at this price range. If you are looking at buying a starter gaming monitor, get this, as compared to all of the cheaper 144hz monitors on amazon, this one offers better colors and a much better stand, making it a better value. Oh, and it also has excellent response times and a great warranty. I will update this review if anything changes. This monitor is hard to find, I had to watch amazon for a month to get it, but if you see it available for $180, it's an excellent deal. UPDATE 1/21 (Original review posted 5/20): The dead pixel is no longer there, it must have been only a stuck pixel and I cannot see any defective pixels any more. Please disregard the parts of this review referring to the dead pixel. Also worthy of note, I am now using this monitor with an Xbox Series X and gaming at 120 fps using this monitor is an amazing experience. I cannot detect any smearing, overshoot, or other visual issues at 120hz. That excellent performance, combined with the amazing ips colors, only further cements this monitor in my mind as the current king of budget gaming monitors.

Very nice display at reasonable price
This a very nice display all around. I bought the 24" 1920x1080 IPS model. My previous monitor was a 22" 1680x1050 TN panel that I bought in 2008. By comparison, this monitor is brighter, sharper, and has better viewing angles, contrast, and color fidelity. It really is an improvement in every category. Color calibration out of the box was perfect, and the resolution is correctly detected in Windows 10 with AMD Adrenaline drivers. My only complaints so far are: - Cannot tilt the display down below vertical; you can only tilt it to an upward angle. Fortunately the height adjustment can be set very low to make up for this. - Even though the pixel pitch is finer than my old TN display, the black space between pixels is actually larger, so I was getting a bit of localized screen-door effect on moving objects in games (especially on braziers and foliage in Skyrim). I resolved the issue by moving the display a little further back on my desk to increase the viewing distance. I have better than 20/20 vision and tend to be sensitive to visual artifacts (ghosting, tearing, screen door, DLP rainbow, you name it), so take my observations with a grain of salt.

The best 1080p 144Hz IPS 1ms 24" gaming monitor, period.
I picked up the AOC 24" IPS Flat 1080p 144hz 1ms monitor as a second monitor for my desk for regular desktop use, twitch windows, spotify, etc. I use a 4K 144hz G-Sync IPS 27" as my main gaming monitor but wanted something cheap with high refresh rate, IPS, and great colors and contrast to sit next to it vertically for multitasking and this monitor fits that bill perfectly. The price was just right, and it ticks all of the boxes I wanted. The monitor arrived in 100% perfect condition, no dead pixels, no stuck pixels, little to no bleed, no dust. This IPS panel is great. The fit and finish of the monitor is really good, and the included adjustable stand were icing on the cake. If you're in the market for the best budget gaming 1080p 144hz IPS 1ms monitor, this is it. Pros: 1080p (also a con), 144Hz, 1ms, IPS, Excellent colors, brightness, contrast, and viewing angles G-Sync Compatible works flawlessly from my testing. Excellent Overdrive so pixel responsiveness is great and no ghosting or motion blur was detected Decent OSD, easy to understand, but buttons are annoying small, and somewhat hard to see, feel, and press. This is also in the cons list. Includes a Display Port and HDMI cable! Very nice! Installation is a breeze with included stand, and quick mount and quick release stand. Excellent no bezels design. This monitor looks very sexy. Cons: 1080p -- Coming from a 4K user seeing 1080p again is definitely noticeably lower PPI, but it's not bad. If you're not used to 4K then you will definitely not notice this and will find the monitor to look beautiful. The red trim on the bottom annoys me, why can't they just make an all black, sleek looking sleeper. Please take notes from View Sonic's latest Elite series AOC. Get rid of the gamery red crap. It's 2020, do better. More red trim on the stand, and why does the stand have those ridiculous spider legs. Just make a normal looking stand, remove the gamer boy look. Sometimes less is more. The stand also impedes desk space and that is more important to many. The old school push buttons along the bottom. Seriously how expensive is a simply joystick with a few buttons along the back right of the monitor?

The best gaming monitor I have tried
Even it's packaging looks impressive, how secure it's transported. Assembling a stand is easy. It came with 120V (US type) power cord so you will need an appropriate cord if you live in EU. I connected the monitor with the DisplayPort cable it came with. My PC automatically enabled FreeSync. No screen tearing or any defects whatsoever. Zero dead pixels and no major noticeable backlight bleed. Colors are vivid as you might except from an IPS panel, but settings are quite warm from the factory. Overdrive is turned off by default, I highly recommend setting it to at least Medium if you play on high frame rates, because with it turned off visuals are blurry, almost like having turned on Motion Blur. All in all: great gaming monitor. Probably the best in the price range.

Great Budget 1080P Gaming Monitor
UPDATE: I was able to get 144 hz refresh rate by using a Warrky USB-C to DisplayPort cable between my Lenovo Ideapad 5 15 laptop and the monitor. Pointing this out to anyone who may have laptops that lack DisplayPorts. Spent many days/hours researching through so many online articles and YouTube videos that I finally ended up with the AOC 24G2 as my very first gaming monitor. So far, this monitor did not disappoint. Set up was easy and the visuals/resolutions are amazing. I know there are some limitations to the visual settings and color gamut with the monitor. I am no way near E-Sports caliber so these limitations do not have a major impact on me. I can already tell the difference with game play on this monitor is light years better and more responsive compared to the laptop monitor. I would rate higher but some general critiques with the monitor: - Lack of lighted visual indicators with the monitor settings located on the bottom of screen. Found myself fumbling with the buttons a lot when adjusting settings and accidentally turning off the monitor numerous times. Thankfully you can download the AOC G-Menu software/app in order to adjust settings via the app vs. manually. - No response or acknowledgement from AOC when I registered my product and to enroll in the warranty program. Read a lot of reviews with people having pixel/back lighting issues and had to replace the unit. Concerned with this risk in the event I have any issues with the monitor. - May be a little time consuming to find your preferred settings but that is pretty much the standard with any new device. - I am currently up to 120 hz refresh rate vs. the desired 144 hz. This could be hardware induced since my laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 5 15 with AMD RYZEN 4700U) does not have a Display Port and I am currently using a HDMI 1.4 connection. I am hoping a premium HDMI cable may help resolve this since I am currently using the HDMI cable provided in the box. I also read HDMI to Display Port adapters can only get up to 120 hz. Just wanted to point this out for consideration. Overall, love this monitor and highly recommend to everyone.

Loving it
This is my first step into the high refresh rate monitors and it does not disappoint. The picture quality looks very good. Nothing ever looks faded or washed out and the monitor. I am currently using it with the stand that comes with it and it is very nice and sturdy. I love how you can adjust it up and down as well as tilt it left and right. I am planning on switching to a dual monitor stand, but for now, this stand is great. It also looks very nice as well. Nothing looks flimsy or looked at as an afterthought. Literally, the only problem with it is it is always out of stock and the only way to buy it is through third party sellers who jack up the price almost 3x sometimes. Don't fret, it does restock a lot. You just have to be keeping an eagle eye out for the restock and jump on it because they sell out fast. Overall, if you are looking for a 24 inch, 1080p, 144Hz, ips monitor, look no further because you have found your saving grace.

Pretty goood
24" 144Hz Flat Monitor Nice monitor. I can't really tell the difference in color quality too much. If I have a minor issue with the way the screen looks, I tweak the settings, but as far as I can tell, the monitor has pretty good colors. I bought it because I wanted a 120Hz monitor and here it was: a monitor with 144Hz that has stellar reviews. There is such a crazy difference between 144Hz and 60/75Hz. I now use 4 monitors for my PC: this one at 144Hz, 2 others at 75Hz and another one at 60Hz all running at 1080p with my GTX 1660Ti graphics card. I can immediately compare the 75Hz monitor and this one and let me tell you, it's night and day. If you're a gamer, you'll see a crazy difference. The thing with this monitor tho, is that the price fluctuates tremendously on the daily. It goes through extreme lows and highs in a matter of days. The picture that I included in this review is a graph on the price history of this particular monitor (24" 144Hz Flat) in the last 60 days from the making of this review. As you can see, it will go from $170something to $300 in 1-2 days. I use the chrome extension called "Honey" to check the price changes of things I wanna buy and I suggest you get something similar or just wait for the price to go down if it's like $250, because it will. The lowest price I can see for the 24" 144Hz flat monitor is about $179, which is the price I paid. Also, when I bought it in January, it said that it was gonna come in March maybe because they ran out of stock or whatever idk but I ended up getting it like 1.5 to 2 weeks after my order. So overall, I really recommend this monitor but please don't get it when it's overpriced.

I'm an AOC-convert with their price and zero-dead-pixel warranty
I've loved my LG W2452T since 2008 and it's been an excellent 60hz monitor for gaming with great response time. I've been nervous that I'd be disappointed with LED backlighting bleed/glow, coming from a fluorescent backlight, and also nervous about dead pixels being the norm when back in 2008, they weren't especially for good panels like LG. I thought I'd finally go for an Asus, but I hated that I might have an eye sore dead pixel and have to be stuck with it. AOC, at this time, has a zero dead pixel warranty for 3 years, and I'm content that I'll either have one by then, or never will afterward...or by 3-5 years 2160p may be the norm for gaming and I'll upgrade. The picture quality is improved over my old TN panel and the response time is still great. The angles of colors are nice to finally see "normally" instead of having to tilt and move my head when working in photoshop. I was worried the response time would be bad when going for an IPS panel, but panels have come a long way in 12 years! There's a setting to display the refresh rate via monitor hardware, which is a great feature. I thought it'd be fun to see it change with g-sync enabled, but what it actually did was show me that even though I enjoyed the 144hz refresh rate in gaming, g-sync wasn't actually enabled and functioning despite making multiple changes to enable it (or, so I thought), because it stayed pegged at 144hz. So, I already had an "oh, this is a really nice upgrade" moment with 144hz, but then I learned it wasn't actually functioning correctly and I looked up and changed more settings software-side and then had another "wow" moment when g-sync was actually working! I'm sticking with AOC for my next monitor because the price and function is excellent, especially with the pixel warranty included in the price.

Quality gaming monitor.
The bottom line is, it does everything you would need a 1080p 144Hz gaming monitor to do. It had no dead pixels, no defects, and it performs exactly like it claimed it would. To my eyes, the picture quality is great, and games look amazing, even when heavily modified with lighting effects and 4k textures. The stand is a little big, but it does allow for a lot of adjustability, so I would call that a net positive. The best part of this product compared to the competition is probably the fact that it doesn't look like a "gaming" monitor. It has a very classy, minimalist design, and avoids being too angular, or tacky branding. In terms of the price, it seems about appropriate at the time of writing. I would recommend this product unless there is a competitive alternative. There are no downsides.

Monitor is good with good quality output
The AOC monitor I purchased was good. I searched for the best monitors for the price range and I can say that this AOC monitor is as per price and is value for money. The build is plastic but doesn't feel too much cheap. The size of 24" is pretty good and I enjoyed using the monitor.
