Just like the ones in Jerusalem!
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw these on Amazon so I had to try. These are JUST like bringing them home from the Marzipan in Israel! It’s very clear to me that the negative reviews on here are from people who have never had the real thing - so they have different expectations. These are not normal rugelach - they are moist and smooshy (and amazing).

Very mushy and doughy.
I purchased these Rugelach to add to gift boxes that I porch-delivered. Everyone commented on the fact the Rugelach was mushy and/or doughy. While the flavor was good, the texture was like eating undercooked dough. I was disappointed as I included the Rugelach to add an “elegant” touch to my gift boxes. I wondered if the product was packaged while it was still warm causing condensation which made them mushy.

Best Chocolate Rugalach
Outside of getting them hot and fresh from Jerusalem, these are the best rugalach. Chocolate is the best, cinnamon is good. They are moist and wet, not dry and are meant to be this way. If you don’t want oozing w/ sweetness, don’t order. This is what the best chocolate rugalach tastes like; they do need to improve packaging

Delicious pastry
Amazing!!!!! So fresh & delicious! The marzipan flavor wasn’t prominent, unfortunately, but the pastry as a whole was very delicious. Would order again!

Disappointed
I was looking forward to receiving this order because I have been craving Rugelach for weeks and with the COVID-19 and Shelter in Place Order cannot locate any. I should have read the reviews first. My order arrived today and this is how my order looks. I was going to bring it to work but obviously I can't.

Only average !
Only an average interpretation of true New York rugelah . I found it without any texture or light crunch . It was wet and soft. Mediocre at best after shipment to Colorado .

Improve the packaging and these will be better.
I have had the privilege of experiencing the fresh chocolate rugelach from Marzipan's famous bakery at Mechane Yehuda in Jerusalem, and while they are never going to be as good as fresh from the bakery - they are still rich, indulgent, and delicious - particularly for a parve dessert. That being said, they are quite expensive (my container had twelve rugelach), and the package looked like someone had already eaten half - they were compressed together, and admittedly pretty ugly. I would not bring them to someone's house but since I bought them for us to enjoy at home it wasn't a deal-breaker. The packaging had opened in transit and the shipping envelope was saturated on the inside with the cinnamon-spiced syrup. These should really be vacuum sealed in a thicker box, rather than a clamshell, for shipping. They are more expensive than buying them in Jerusalem, but that's also to be expected. $15 for 12 small rugelach is kind of crazy, but I was still willing to pay, since theirs are so good. If you have never experienced Marzipan's rugelach these are different (and yes, more moist) than your typical rugelach. Marzipan uses a yeasted dough, and then saturates the rugelach in a sweet syrup with a hint of cinnamon (similar to baklawa) to make them extra rich. If you are expecting typical, cookie-like rugelach these are not it.For someone who loves Marzipan's rugelach and has experienced the real deal, these were not a disappointment, but I am unsure if I would order again unless the packaging improved. For next time, I'll just have to buy in bulk in Jerusalem and freeze for the journey home!

Perfection!
Exactly the same as I had at the bakery in Jerusalem! Arrived in prefect shape; gooey, chocolates and extra-moist. They freeze very well and once defrosted they look and taste just as they did in Machane Yehuda. So happy they are available on Amazon!
