It's very important for your safety 🙂↕️
Very good camera for my vehicle. It records absolutely everything I can install very easily and quickly. Good image quality. You need it to record everything, I highly recommend it. It is one of the most complete vehicle cameras on the market in its price range, advanced security features and intelligent connectivity.

Will drain your battery and company will not stand behind their product
We bought this for our 1yr old 2021 Rav4 in July 2022 and had it installed by a professional. In January 2023, while across town picking up my son from sports practice my car died. I jumped it but it wouldn't hold the charge. Being a new car I was able to get a tow to the dealer, but had to wait 2hrs.. across town with my son. Toyota had the car for 2 days testing it and replaced the cars battery. They couldn't figure out what was wrong, but the battery was done. We had our suspicious it was the 6 month old dash cam but weren't sure as we've never had a dash cam before. July 2023 we bought a brand new hybrid Lexus RX and we pulled the cameras out of the Rav4, leaving the wiring behind. We had it re-installed in the RX. November 2023 and we go to use the car on a saturday morning and the car is dead. We again call for a tow truck, to boost our new hybrid. He can't boost it and he can't charge the battery up. Have the car towed to the Lexus dealer. The battery is done and they will replace it. This time, we pull the SD card out of the car and check it. The files left on the card that are not corrupted show lower battery levels than it should be. The files after that are corrupted and then it stopped recording all together. We get our car back and and put the SD card back in and the camera just clicks. It won't even turn on. We are now 4 months past the warranty on the dash camera. We call to ask Thinkware what could be the possible issues, as we have the same camera in our new 2023 Lexus ES and are concerned about that car's battery now failing us. Thinkware support tells us to change the threshold of low voltage so that it will turn off sooner. As far as the one that is broken and has caused as so much trouble.. well.. maybe it was a bad install.. well, we paid a professional to install it, twice, in two different cars. Well.. we can pay to have it repaired. Well.. my problem now was, do I trust that this company has a quality product and that the other camera is not damaging the battery in my other car as well? My answer would be confirmed by Thinkware customer service and their management. They do not stand behind their product more than the 12 months warranty (at this point we are at 16 months). They types of issues we have had and the extreme inconvenience and expense, apparently not an anomaly that they would stand behind. We have removed the camera from the other car (it is 6 months old - maybe I should have sent in this receipt) and will be speaking to the professional installer that we bought the second one from about different brands. Don't waste your money on this camera. If you get a faulty one and it kills your battery so that the dealer can't even re-charge it, you will be out the expense of a new battery.. and be stranded wherever your car happens to die. Worst, Thinkware doesn't even care. You may as well buy whatever Chinese brand for this level of quality.

Pretty good.
I have had this camera system for a few years now. Two complaints: reading license plates is not as easy as some reviews I have read, I call B.S.. second: after a few years the speaker began to static when first turned on - I suspect this is because of the Texas heat coupled with the heat of the front facing unit. That being said, it's a pretty clear picture and video - both front and rear cameras. It does record sound in the cabin if you choose to turn on that feature. This system also shows speed. I am overall satisfied and despite the static when first turned on now, I would still give this set up a five star rating.I have had these two cameras in four different vehicles that I have purchased. Pretty resilient wiring if you're careful on install and removal.

Quality Dashcam
I recently installed the Thinkware U1000 (front and rear) dashcam in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Installation was fairly easy, and I opted to use the Echomaster OBDII cable for power since switched power/fuse access in my particular vehicle is under the hood and is hard to get to. After installation, everything came up and the camera resolution and quality was very good as expected for this higher end dashcam. I do have an issue with automatic power cutoff when after turning off the ignition which is most likely an issue with the OBDII module. I'm currently working that issue with customer support (a bit of a wait to speak to someone, but very helpful).

After 2.5 years review
Here is my user review after 2.5 years. It came with all the parts and tools required for install. The cables and long enough for the power supply to reach from the center console to the dash cam and also for the back camera. The glue for both cameras have held on very strongly till now even in summers that reach 100F sometimes. And it has started recording every time weather in hot or cold climate without missing. The video quality output is also very great in bright environments and acceptable in low light driving conditions.Only negative is it does not have a display like the other ones. That means you need to connect it to phone to review any kind of footage and thats where it lacks. The wifi connectivity stopped working around 6 months ago. For some reason the thinkware app doesnot recognize the camera. I can see the camera wifi but just doesnot connect. I have tried to troubleshoot it multiple times with different phones with no success. So if I need the footage from the camera, I need to physically take the sd card out and plug it into a computer. That is also not a huge deal but I am afraid of the day when I have to remount the camera if I replace my windshield because you need live video for initial camera positioning.
