Fits true to size!
These board shorts are very good quality and lightweight too. Quicksilver is a brand that never disappoints. The price was reasonable for the performance quality of the shorts, it was $44.00 I like how it has a Velcro fly too as well as the four point tie drawstring at the front. These shorts fit very true to size and I wear a 35"-36" and I have plenty of room to loosen or tighten them as I desire. It has drain holes in the pockets too for rapid water evacuation. I'm completely satisfied with the purchase.

Worth the money.
I am not one to spend a ton of money especially on something like shorts when I don't really get in the water too often. We were on vacation in Florida doing tons of water parks, diving and other miscellaneous all day water activities and these not only fit great, they were comfortable to wear, looked cool and the pictures don't really show you, but there are plenty of secure pockets so if you need a safe spot for your water camera, locker key and/or other miscellaneous items, plenty of space to wear on your person without risk of losing anything. These worked out a lot better than I expected. Great shorts. Worth the extra money as these were a little more than comparable shorts, but they looked a little better which is initially why I purchased them.

Good Board Shorts / Little Pricey
I mostly like the design of these shorts, and they work fairly well for wakeboarding. The material is very fast drying, and the fit is good for water sport use. I also like the fact that it is not necessary to wear compression shorts under these. One downside is that these can cut into your abdomen when seated if you have them cinched pretty tight (due to the stiff material used for the fly). I also purchased Xerosposure Brand Street 2 Swim hybrid board shorts from Amazon at the same time I purchased these Quicksilver Shorts. The "Street 2 Swim" shorts were very similar to the Quicksilver version, but actually were approximately 20% cheaper. The Street 2 Swim shorts have more pockets, and have belt loops so they are a more versatile short to wear off water. The material on the Quicksilver shorts also has a stiff/slick feel which I do not like as much as the other shorts, and makes it obvious that these are swim wear if you intend to wear them anywhere besides the beach/lake. The Quicksilver drawstring is outside the waistband (like most board shorts), which makes them a little easier to cinch up tight for watersports, but the internal drawstring on the S2S shorts makes them less conspicuous as swimwear. The Quicksiver shorts are a better straight-up wakeboard short, but for the price and versatility I prefer the S2S version. The S2S shorts also have a snap button closure on the waistband which is quite handy. The Quicksilver shorts just have the drawstring and a Velcro fly. (I have also found a similar Valor brand Hybrid board short on Amazon that is considerably cheaper than the Quicksilver version, and has a zipper fly.) The sizing is pretty true on these shorts - I typically wear a 34 waist in jeans/pants, and the 34 in these fits fine. Personally, I also like the black/gray camo color pattern, and these do not seem like they are likely to fade. All in all, these are a really good board short, but I can't justify the additional price paid just for the Quicksilver label on the back.

Awesome Boardshorts...
First, board-shorts are not supposed to have netting or elastic. That stuff is for people who go to the beach and sit around in the sun. What a waste of time. An elastic is just not going to hold your shorts in place in a wipe out, and netting... Well, I don't even know what that is for. These fit exactly as sized. They look big first, but fit well. They are well made and feel good in the water. The only complaint I have is that the Velcro in the pocket has a gap in the middle. The gap looks like it is too small for a key to come out but I would like to have no doubt. When you go out surfing you like to leave everything in the car and just carry a key. That pocket needs to be bulletproof. So I'll add the piece that is missing. Its not a big deal. Other than that these shorts are awesome. The price is very low for shorts of this quality.

Great shorts
My husband found this item at Macy's originally, but they didn't have his size. He already had a couple of pairs of the camo boardshorts but wanted black as well. To be clear, we live in a landlocked state and he does not board or even go into water that isn't the shower. That being said, he wears these shorts ALL THE TIME. He says they keep him cool and dog hair does not stick to them. Also, they don't come with a bunch of inflated pockets like most mens cargo shorts. They do seem to be a little tight around the hips, but they fit in the waist. Given that the material is really thin, it might be better to go up a size and cinch it so you get a better fit in the hips. He says they are comfy, so this is based on just my observation.

Great fit but will rub you raw.
Took these shorts on vacation and was really excited to give them a swim. They fit great around the waste, were the perfect length, and when wet they didn't cling to you. I decided to take a walk after a swim on the beach. Let's just say I got a half mile when it felt as if I rubbed hot sauce over an open wound. After walking carefully back to the house, I noticed I had rubbed my inner thigh raw. Needless to say I couldn't wear them the rest of the trip. Just make sure you wear something underneath.

Fits small
I wear a 34 in everything and not a tight fit at all. I bought a 34 in these shorts and can't even get the velcro fly together. It's more like a 32 or 31.
