Amazing album vinyl storage container
One could for sure listen to this album on streaming and enjoy it. The vinyl is worth the difference. I wish manufacturers would stop placing vinyl in packing that predisposes the record to damage the second one takes it out of the initial sleeve. Quite frankly the art or whatever isn’t that important when repetitive ticks are heard from scratches directly out of the sleeve.

Love that recording!
I got the vinyl and it is such a great recording. If you close your eyes you might imagine you are right at their concert, it is one of this mind blowing experiences. It is hard to believe that it sounds still so fresh and dynamic after all these years. Highly recommended!

Arrived damaged
There are two legitimate versions of this album out now. The Verve "Vital Vinyl", and the Verve "Analogue Productions" versions. The Analogue Productions version is cut at 45 RPMs and cost around 50 dollars. This is considered the superior version. However spending 50 dollars, and flipping the record every 2 songs isn't very convenient. Plus the more records that come with an album, the less space I have on my shelf. For these reasons I bought the Verve "Vital Vinyl" version, which is sold here. According to the hype sticker this repress is true to the original release. "Original Label, Original Tapes, Original Sound & Design" it reads. The record comes in a thick paper sleeve (which I hate) because these sleeves scratch, and create static, attracting dust and debris. The actual record sounded fine, great sound, and dynamics all around. However, on the last track of the 1st side "Samba Triste" there was an audible pop during the last minute or so. The actual vinyl had bubbled in that area, see Pic 2 for reference. The other side had an audible cluster of Scratches, (NOT SCUFFS) im talking legitimate Scratches! See pic 1. This was right out of the box! Completely unacceptable for a new product... I'll return this for another copy.

Verve "Vital Vinyl" LP - the worst option available
Fundamental issues with this release: the tracks are mastered at around 7 DB quieter than any other release out there. So you turn up the volume and you begin to hear background platter noise. Pops and clicks are very loud.Problems with the copy I received: the platter was covered in dust (often not really an issue), had a lot of pops and clicks, more than any new LP I've bought - and was warped- bowl-shaped, in fact. I'd say that all of those issues are not really relevant to the question of whether you should buy this release.Ignoring these issues, the mastering choices made here were poor, and you are far better off getting either the Analogue Productions 200g 45 RPM release or waiting until June, 2023 and getting the 18g single-platter Verve Analogue Productions release. That's going to be a really attractive package.

Poor Pressing Quality
This pressing quality is not great. I heard then immediately found two swirl scratches. There’s also quite a few artifacts. Returning and buying a different pressing.

If you like Stan, you will like this.
It's all about personal taste. You enjoy this guy's music? Then get this album. Stan never had a bad session in his life.

After a few plays is becoming one of my favourite records
This on vinyl, sounds superb. What a brilliant record, expertly recorded it makes you feel like you're there. Not only is the recording excellent, the playing is fantastic. I don't buy lots of Jazz but records like this make me want to listen to more. A very good record for people dipping a toe in. Highly recommended :-)

... this item was received from the supplier in very good condition well within the allotted time frame
Again this item was received from the supplier in very good condition well within the allotted time frame. The cd is great value with both the playing time and the musical content, with Stan at his bossa best.If like me you are wary about vocals then then I feel there's is no need to worry as the represent only a minor part of the album and in some cases they are almost incidental to the tune.

It is what the title suggests.
An excellent range of artists showing a good range of their work. Some well known and others that widens one's listening. A gem in my CD collection.
