This “is not” the case with polysaccharide iron complex (PIC) used in NovaFerrum. The PIC is a less harsher iron where it’s much easier on the stomach and GI track versus iron salts. Pediatricians suggest an infant may already be receiving adequate vitamin C. We instead added B12 which helps prevent the onset of pernicious anemia.
