Bought them for a gift. The recipient was delighted with them.

These are great, sure beats having to use multiple cloths, and these are easily cleaned and can be reused. I was really impressed with them. I still use a bore snake for a quick clean, but when I’m doing a deep clean these are my go to.

We use Bore Tips exclusively in my Gunsmith shop Randen Arms Service Corp. Common sense and knowledge of what you're doing is important to take full advantage of this product. Shoving one into a badly lead fouled, dry barrel is a recipe for an unpleasant result. Use some solvent on a patch and a brush to initially soften the hardened fouling. Use Bore Tips to do your final cleaning. Using mineral spirits between passes to clean your Bore Tip is vital. Their 360* contact with the barrel walls reduces the number of passes thru to thoroughly clean the lands and grooves. I also keep 1 of each caliber in a ziplock saturated with CLP. Firearms that we expect will go into storage get their barrels swabbed with a light coat of preservative oil.

works well and easy to use

They do exactly what they are supposed to do but they are a little fragile. So long as you gently insert these into your barrel and align everything, they work great, but if you rush, jam it in there at an angle and not straight on, they bend rather easily. Do this 3 or 4 times and they snap right off. That being said, take your time and don't bend the plastic. The mops themselves are fantastic as they soak up the mineral oil, come out of the barrel looking black, and one squeeze into a paper towel and they are nearly white again. I have broken one during my first gun cleaning. After that I am more careful and have used this about a dozen times since then on my .22 revolver and a .22 rifle. I still have 4 new ones. My cotton mop never gets as clean as these things after squeezing out the mineral oil... highly recommended

These are great little bore swabs. I use them over and over for my 5.56 and 22LR rifles. I've only broken one so far due to user error. Never had one stuck in the bore. After I have cleared much of the debris with a bore brush I put a few drops of CLP on the bore tip swab then attach it to the end of my Remington cable and pull from chamber to the muzzle end then I squeeze out the dirty stuff and CLP on to a paper towel or rag. I repeat the process until it comes out clean. I never put this through the bore dry even when the bore is clean. It will last a long time when used properly. I would highly recommend for cleaning 5.56mm or .22 rifles and pistols.

Little expensive,not by much just one or two more included swabs would make a great deal,that said these are great way better than patches which take like 20 for each gun and forget about crappy Squeegees that dont work at all. These expand and fit the barrel and grooves tight (not too tight) and first pass get mostly clean then few follow ups and one pass with oil then i clean swabs with dish soap let dry and use again. These things are great. They swab the barrel clean and expand in the bore to get in the rifiling better than jag and patch.You can clean them with mineral spirits and reuse them many times. Because of this they are a good value. Fits standard cleaning rod.

Had to get adaptor as these are USA mounts. But ok.

I've been able to reuse them. After about 10 uses, they are starting to fall apart. Good buy for the money.
