I got these for my house when my nieces and nephews are over and they are doing their own things and I can check on all of them and come to them when they need help doing something. We also just hide around the house or yard and talk to each other. Because they are still pretty young kids they kill the batteries so fast. I really wish they were rechargeable but they are still a lot of fun.

For the price, these FRS/GMRS radios are really hard to beat.You get all 22 channels and all CTCSS and DCS tones are available.And unlike most others that use 4-AAA batteries or worse yet rechargeable lithium packs,these radios use AA alkalines which produce much more current and give you much longer run time.They are a little fatter because of the AAs but it's well worth it for the much longer battery life.The plastic they are made of is a low grade type that feels like it could easily crack so dropping on concrete would likely crack them and they aren't water proof so avoid dropping them in puddles or using them in the rain.

Our kids had been BEGGING for walkie talkies and since they typically either break stuff or lose interest in toys, etc. we didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on these. A 3 pack for $14.99 seemed doable. They used them all day for a couple days and all of a sudden one of them wouldn’t turn on. I thought it was awfully fast for the batteries to be dead but I got some fresh batteries aaaaaaaand nothing. Other than that, I do find the kids will switch the channels on them and not know how to get them back in sync. Then the odd part, I will get the 2 on the same channel and they still wouldn’t work. I forget what I did to get them to work but guess what? The kids have lost interest in them anyways. Ugh.

Bought for Easter baskets ,something fun during the pandemic and 6 ft distance for grandkids. No get together this year. Heard the kids had a blast, I went with good reviews . More for younger kids, bright and colorful . reception ok for back yards, or small neighborhood. Not sure range wise how well they do though.

Bought the 3 pack as a birthday present for a friends daughter. Got a text later saying she loves them…and they were a big hit. My friend even asked where I got them so she can give them away as birthday presents in the future. I like the lanyard that comes with so they can easily carry it with them while doing other things like riding bikes or whatever.

So I got these walkie talkies for my son for his birthday. I tried setting them up after him opening his gifts, but one didn’t work. The green one. I was looking forward to having them all working so my son can play with his cousins. My son is left with the blue and the pink one. Green is his favorite color but that’s the one that doesn’t work. It would have been perfect if all of the walkie talkies worked. I don’t want to go through the hassle of exchanging and shipping these out to have it replaced. So I’ll settle for the pink and blue one working but it broke our hearts to see the green one not working.

These reach a long distance and have already been used several times in one week. My kids are 12, 10, and 4 and they love them. The parents use them to talk to the kids through out the house as well, upstairs/downstairs. We also used them while some were skiing and some were back at the lodge. Highly recommend!

Bought this for myself and my young twins. We love using them they’re really fun. The downfall is that the batteries do not last long in the walkie-talkies. The batteries have to be changed Frequently. Also there is no off button.
