It is a stout little unit with one strong magnetic base. What was super nice was the company sending two 3M mounting stickers and also permanent mounting hardware. I like the temp stickers, for they hold well to the exterior of my house and can be remove without damage to my home or the camera. Since I'm still testing the camera, it's nice to have an option to remove it and relocate it to different spots along my house exterior.My attached pictures are of the camera attached to my home and then a view of my truck in my driveway (from the app view). I haven't had any inclement weather my way, so I can't attest to its durability yet, but I'm sure I'll get some rain/wind/sleet sometime in the next month or two.Just a word about the magnetic base: it's super strong but easy to remove the camera. If you are worried someone will take off with the camera (or a pet detach it and have a chomp-fest with your new technology), then place it out of reach. I used a ladder to place the camera & base on my house. If I need to move the camera view or charge the camera, it's easy to do so. An SD card can be placed in the camera, but I use my phone and cloud storage to keep my videos and pics on file. It's great to have the option to place an SD card inside the camera.The sound recording is really good. I was able to hear people talking several house away and a car that was cruising on my street from a block away. I have not used the intercom/speaker yet.Overall, this a solid little piece of tech that will give you big peace of mind when fortifying your home or office. Well worth the price tag! I own 2 cameras from this company now and have been very happy with both. By the way, this company's customer service has been excellent (returning emails in a rapid manner and with helpful info). This camera is very convienient and easy to use. I like it because it is small and black and i like that it was very easy to connect and mount where i wanted to mount it too. This is a great camera for the price I will be buying more for my house as i need camera for the back yard now that i got one in the front. So far so good with it, it has yet to give me any problems. I like that it has a rechargeable battery and it is wireless so i dont have wires running all over the place also i like that it has night vison so im able to see in the dark.
