DEFENDER SERIES Case for LG G2 All Non-Verizon - Retail Packaging - Black

This is an excellent case. This is the second OtterBox defender that i have purchased. The first was for my Samsung Galaxy S3. Both of these cases have been awesome!! I work in law enforcement and am very hard on phones, these cases have held up to everything I have thrown at them. I have literally dropped, kicked, and thrown both of these phones while in the OtterBox Defender and have had no damage. Sometimes i do open the case and clean the dust out from under the screen protector but i have not had any problems with loss of functionality of the touch screen. I have not had any issues with auditory echos or distortion. Overall this is a great product and i will never own a cell phone without an OtterBox Defender on it.

Will update every 6 months. For now, easy to set up but of course, default screen protector got annoying. Great protection though. Update: Small tear rubber rip above charger port area. Small rips/tears on power & volume key areas

The original Defender I bought on the day I purchased my phone (like 4 years ago) was barely held together. The tabs holding the inner case together were all broken off and the case was held together by the outter rubber shell. I drop my phone on a weekly, if not daily, basis. But the phone itself is still pristine thanks to the Otter Box. I figured I would try replacing the battery to give my phone new life... and since that actually worked I came back to replace the Otter Box. The new one came quickly and in original packaging and only cost 13 bucks. Whats not to like? I remember not being sure about the case design and the built in screen protector but it didn't take long for me to get used to it. I watched videos comparing the Otter Box to other brands but in the end it came down to the results my original Defender gave me. Now my LG G2 is pretty much like the day I bought it. Yeah, I'm happy with this purchase. Thumbs up to the seller and to Otter Box and their Defender Case.

The OtterBox Defender for LG G2 phone provides secure protection for your phone. My phone has survived several inadvertent drops over the last two years with the Defender keeping the screen crack free. As good as the Defender is, it is not waterproof; so it won't protect your phone if you drop it in water. I would have rated the case 5 stars however, I feel that the screen protector would be better if it attached directly to the screen. As it is now, the screen protector is part of the front cover and leaves a gap between it and your screen. Although this does not affect functionality, it does allow dust and debris to settle in the gap. Despite this minor shortcoming I would highly recommend the OtterBox Defender.

I was riding my bike with my head phones plugged into the jack. I was riding at a good 20-25 MPH, and I knocked my phone off my hip, and when I picked it back up, it was still running and had no cracks or scratches. It didn't even reboot from jostling the contacts on the battery. I was really impressed. I have previously only bought cheap silicone bumper type cases, though this is the fist time I actually knew how much the phone costs. Usually my service provider included it in my bill. These are almost $700 phones, so spend the money and have peace of mind. This case is great for people that care for their phones and don't drop them in the toilet or loose them. I don't pay for phone insurance and wanted something that could prevent damage so I wouldn't need to pay the premium for insurance. Even with insurance, the deductible is still higher than this case.

I bought this product after reading all the reviews, and thought people were overreacting about the screen protector thats built in, and let me tell you they are abit, but its still pretty annoying. There is at least a 1/8 inch gap between the plastic screen protector in your screen. Thats fine for the most part when you want to just touch something, but it makes scrolling or sliding difficult since it doesn't register the motion correctly anymore. The screen does still look crystal clear unlike some of the other reviewers have claimed theirs were foggy. Next thing, its not dust proof at all, since the screen protector isn't stuck to the screen, the hole at the top that allows the front camera, light sensor, and earpiece speaker work the 1/8 inch gap between the screen and the cover is enough to let hair, dust, dirt, and lint from your pocket go right in between the screen protector and your screen. Im the kind of person who always wiped my screen every day to get rid of the days fingerprints and dirt and the fact that you have to spend 2-3 min to take the case apart every day to get the grime that shouldn't be let in there in the first place is annoying. Im still giving it a 3 star since the screen protector issue isn't such a big deal, i'm about to pop it off its held on by a very thin line of glue, and just put a stick on protector made for the LG G2 onto it, and i do really enjoy the belt clip, its great for when I jog and can keep my phone with me without having to worry about wearing gym shorts with pockets. And the case itself seems really strong and protective, i've only dropped it a few times onto the carpet in my house, and the phone is perfect still.

Best case you will ever buy seriously. Would you rather spend $40-$60 for a case or $200 for a new screen/LCD? Or $600 for a new phone all together?! I've dropped my phone down concrete stairs, off of a roof, into a toilet, into mud, into snow, and on assualt and tile a million times. Once I take it out of the case it literally looks exactly the same as it did the first day I got it brand new out of the box. I'm really sick of people saying that it's to big and bulky. Sure, it makes your phone slightly larger and it can be mildly annoying at times. But it's worth it to me to still have an absolutely pristine phone!

When I purchased a LG G2 cellphone, the only case I was even going to consider to put it in was the Otterbox. It's safe from just about everything except a dunking and sunlight, screen is accessible as well as the buttons, and the seller gave me a price that was to my liking.
