Review: Follow the instructions closely. - I received a couple more than I ordered which is probably due to any possible loss during shipping. They are a decent size and not wimpy looking. This, the packaging and instructions makes me think this company cares about sending a quality product. There's a link to a video that shows you how to take care of them. They all seemed healthy and looked good. They are still growing and thriving. The begining process takes patience, but so far good value for the money and I am happy. I came back and ordered more. Review: These things grow! - When my package of 9 strawberry plants arrived in a plastic bag, I thought they would die. The roots looked dried out and tangled up. There were no live leaves. The only sign of life was the stem - the base of the plants, and they were white. I took them out of the package and left them overnight outside in a bowl of water. Next morning, they all looked at least alive. The white base had grown into buds of new leaves. I then separated the plants, and put each in a separate 2 or 4 inch pot with very sandy soil. Within a couple of days new leaves sprouted from all the plants - and there were 11 plants, not 9. I then transplanted them into larger pots with gravelly sandy soil. They have all thrived. I live in Hawaii, and this the summer, so I don't know how they'll end up - I've never seen nor heard of strawberries growing in Hawaii. Right now I'm optimistic, though. They're already sending out runners, so I may try using some as ground covers, and the others for fruit. We have free range chickens and rats here, so I built a screen over the pots, so the fruits won't get stolen.

| Product Care Instructions | Strawberry Plant Basics Soil: Ideal soil pH is 5.5-6.5. Strawberry plants need well-draining soil. Choose a good quality potting mix that has perlite mixed in. You will then want to add in about 1/3 compost to mix in with your potting soil. This will create a well-draining, nutrient filled soil that your strawberries will love! Buyer Beware
We bought 10 sweet Charlie strawberry plants. The attached photo shows approximately what they looked like upon arrival. We planted them anyway hoping they were only dormant. They were actually dead on arrival and thus never grew. We pulled them out of the ground and took this photo. No refund was given. I wish we had read the reviews.

Great producer
I wanted to wait till making it to harvest to do a review. Out of 10 plants, 9 survived initial planting. I was very happy! They all grew beautifully over the winter. We had an unusually weird winter weather wise so I was nervous about how it would go. We lost several flowers to frost and many more were small and deformed because of it but these things bounced back! I live in a warm, humid climate so strawberries here don't generally make it to be perennials and I was concerned that i might not get my money's worth. Boy was I wrong. These things are the gift that keeps on giving. My one year old has been eating his weight in them and they are still producing. We did have one of them doe after first harvest so we're down to 8 but it's been plenty for my family of 3. Would definitely buy again!

ordered ten, got twelve, all growing well!
Ordered these and got them in the mail soon after. They looked like hell, but that was only sand from where they were growing. I kept them in the fridge for a few days before planting them in party cups, (no time to plant them sooner). I trimmed the roots back a bit and planted in some home mixed potting soil (compost peat, coco coir, bone meal, blood meal, worm castings and sand) and put them under my lights. They perked up overnight and where visibly better and doing well in just a few days. Now they all have 2-3 new leaves and doing great. Still have to harden them off and put outside. But so far very happy with them.

Great quality and healthy plants!
I ordered these to put in above ground planters and knew that I was planting a little late, but they are doing great! I got them on June 9th and they are all flowering as of June 28th. I got more than I ordered and they all survived, even one that I have kept in a jar of water under a grow light since I didn't have enough space to plant it! I haven't gotten to taste them yet but will try to update my review with how they are, but so far I have high hopes for them!

Zero out of 30
Zero lived, arrived in a dry bag. Bought three varieties based on a recommendation from the Millennial Gardener. None of the 30 sprouted -- NONE -- not a newbie growing strawberries. There was a post-it noting one of the varieties, but not attached to anything. I would recommend another company for bare root strawberries. What a waste of $50
