Pinaud Beard Balm – Nourishing & Conditioning Beard Balm for Men, Strong Hold, 2 oz

Pinaud is my go-to for shaving products for many years, and this balm doesn't disappoint. Moisturizes and controls your beard and skin nicely, with only the very faintest scent reminiscent of the Clubman aftershave - but once again it is extremely faint. You could use a different aftershave and it won't clash or smell weird. Not greasy. I'm an old guy not impressed with these "SasquatchLumberjackHe-ManTacticalViking" named brands now that beards are back in vogue. I'll stick to the brand that has been delivering for men since 1810.

The smell is fantastic. Light yet manly. It really holds my unruly beard in place. It holds well yet is still flexible. The price is fantastic!! It seems to not moisturize my beard at all so, I ordered some of their moisturizer.

I have bought several jars, some from the local drugstore, some from Amazon, and have had different textures in all of them. Most of the time, the balm is creamy and works into my goatee well; sometimes the balm is dry and waxy and doesn't soften or cream in my hands, and will leave sticky, waxy clumps in my beard. I have a lotion style tube from Clubman that I work into the dryer jars and that seems to correct the issue, but I would definitely prefer that the balm is always the same creamy texture in every jar. When the product is soft and creamy, I love it! It smells decent (it pairs well with my face cream) and leaves my beard soft and shapeable.

great product at a great price. I use it daily to tame my thick, coarse and bushy beard.

I like the smell of this ,but the consistency is a bit weird .It seems to hold pretty well without being sticky ,it kinda reminds me of pudding though. For the price it's decent,but I think there are better options in the same price range .

Love it works great. A small amount goes a long way. Has no scent.

UPDATE June 2022 My last order of this was received in new condition, unlike the original reviews below. I have not found another brand that is just the right consistency like this one and I have tried many. Also, this one is water soluble so it washes off of fingers and comb easily. ORIGINAL REVIEW I purchased this product twice through Amazon and twice it was defective. I have used it for a while and am familiar with what it is like. The first time, it smelled bad but it worked normally. After using it a few times though, I couldn't stand it and threw it out. The second time, the container was about half empty and the top was not smooth, like it had been used. See pic. I shouldn't try a third time but I can no longer find it locally so I am getting a replacement for the last order. I'll let you know how it goes.

Balming my beard.

Great product, it was my first time using a beard balm myself and i was looking for something in a decent price range to test it out. The packaging was great, well protected and has that clean cut feel once you open it, easy to use and smells great without being too strong either. I noticed the smell a few times during the following hours and i would say it vanishes after a few hours, the hold itself will last you well over 4-5 hours if you don't play with your beard or anything like that. I would recommend for an inexpensive product that does what it says!
