We have loved Thames and Kosmos in other kits and this one is a hit too. I was considering getting my son iron filings to learn more about magnetism when I found this set. They put iron filings in a thin clear plastic case where a kid can learn from them, but they are contained. The other stuff is great too. My son especially likes the floating rings.

My kids had a blast with this science kit. We homeschool, so we do a lot of project based learning. This kit was a key part of learning about magnets, and the kids had fun playing with it. It's very durable, and a great value for the money. Mine didn't have missing parts.

My grandson loves experimenting with this magnet kit. He wants to be a scientist and he's interested in magnets and how they work right now. This is a good start for him, and it's safe for him to experiment with.

My sons likes this very much....it is a fun tool to learn and play if you are young and like magnetism.

I purchased this for my husband, who has always had a love for magnets. Even as a grown man, he got quite a kick out of the different bits in this kit. He has been doing some of the experiments with our six year old and that has worked wonderfully too. The booklet that comes with it has tons of experiments and ideas that are really ideal for when you're wanting to teach kids about magnets. I highly recommend this kit! Do keep in mind that for the most part, all of the bits are small and on the weak end magnet wise. Comes with the territory of such a kit though. They still work great!

I gifted this kit to my nephew turning 11. I really didn’t think he would like it much but I thought it was neat. When I called to see if he received it, not only was he playing with it, he excitedly thanked me and said he loved it. The product is sturdy and seems like it should last a long time.
