Works great on my truck...easy to install

This is NOT a gain antenna. Never expected it to be. It's mediocre. A decent unity-gain antenna would be MUCH longer. Instead, it's a solid upgrade from the rubber duck antenna on my handheld CB radio. I've not taken an antenna analyzer to it, yet, but it has gotten me improved reports on radio checks and improved reception. Sticks on top of my truck without flying off when travelling at 70 MPH or faster.

I received my new antenna right on the predicted schedule and I hooked it up immediately. I put my SWR meter on it and got a 1.25/ 1 reading . Certainly no need for adjustments! I put the antenna on my truck and on my first outing on rough roads, I lost the whip on the new antenna. I had failed to secure the set screw because things were going so well. Can I purchase a replacement whip for this product? My fault!

This antenna had the solder joint in the base compleately open. Had to resolder the connection, the metal mast much too flimsy when truck is moving . Not adjustable top section, could not be tuned. Poor quality in manufacture. Don’t buy this antenna!

Great range for a budget antenna and has a strong magnet that doesn’t budge! But build quality was lacking. The rubber around the bottom was coming apart upon arrival and it scratched my paint after having it attached for a few days. It also had an odd dent in part of it (see photo). Overall, I feel like this antenna could do better for the price but the actual performance is very usable for my needs. I will be covering the bottom with a more sturdy material going forward.
