Any lower voltage will deliver less power. 12V is the min. voltage that the circuit will work (with much less output power). I guess it will also work at 11V as well (if it's ever connected to a car battery which may go down to such voltage), but not recommended to do so. **Q: Does this amp have a constant hiss for anyone else no matter what volume? Built my own blue tooth system - sound quality is great. Slight hiss at lower volume but for workshop/gym use - perfect. Crackles if not earthed, but once fully wired in, faultless.
