Factory quality without the factory price. Restore the apearance to your engine compartment.
Super price! It was sixty bucks for the overflow bottle with cap in May 2018. It has the metal reinforcing ferrule at the bottom hose barb, but no built in washer/stop at the topmost mount point like the factory part. I'm okay with that. The cap feels and operates like the factory cap, and so far there have been no problems with the whole unit on 90 degree days here on the Eastern seaboard. I really like Dorman products. Factory quality parts at a portion of the factory price with many parts that are no longer available from the oem manufacturer.

The Right Part for Our Ford F150 Pickup -- An Easy DIY
I like Dorman products, have purchased several to replace broken or worn out items on our vehicles, and never had an issue. This coolant overflow jug was exactly the right product for our older Ford F150 pickup truck, and was relatively easy for me (the man of the family) to put in myself. The hardest part was getting pliers on the squeeze-clamp on the base of the old, cracked and leaking unit (when did it get so old? Ha ha), and getting the hose to come off. Put a basin or something pn the ground underneath if you need to catch the water/coolant mix that will flood out, especially if you want to use it again. In my case, I wanted to home-flush the whole system, so I parked the truck in a spot where some drainage of rusty old liquid wouldn't hurt anything, got underneath, and removed one end of the lowest clamp and hose. I let the old liquid fully drain (quite a bit of sludge in it), then reattached the hose. I connected the two hoses on the new coolant overflow jug (easier to put on than take off, and as you see from the product photo, the new one comes with a fresh upper hose). By the way, when installing, the bottom of the tank is held in place by a built in clip that goes over a hole in the truck frame. You'll need the old screws for the two upper brackets. No big deal to insert and tighten down with a ratchet socket. I then filled my cooling system with fresh water only, from the hose, and ran the engine for 10 minutes. Then I disconnected the lower hose again and let this now dirty water drain out. I did it one more time as I don't have the ability to pressure flush. By the time the next batch drained out, it was relatively clean. Now I put in two jugs of new coolant purchased from a local auto supply (its supposed to be mixed 50-50 with water so I guessed at that), and added fresh water to the mark on the new reservoir, screwed down the cap, and that was it. Less than an hour's work all told.Brand new reservoir -- recommended.

Great Replacement!!
My reservoir in my 97 F250 light duty (5.4 Triton) was leaking and this replacement fit right in! It took me about 15 minutes to do the replacement with the right tools. There is only to (2) 5/16 screws that keep the reservoir in place and (2) hose clamps that can be removed easily with a tongue and groove plier. And BOOM!! 👊 Easy peasy lemon squeezy :)p.s. antifreeze will spill so have 2 gallons of 50/50 antifreeze ready to top it off once you install the new one. Cheers!

Fits perfectly in My 2001 F150 XLT Reg Cab flareside 4x2 V6 4.2L
It fit perfectly. I suggest adding flat washers to the install screws.

Perfect replacement.
This is a perfect replacement for the original. But I'd never received the product. I did end up buying one from a local supplier with the same model number. Somehow this got lost in the mail.
