Great solar-powered lamp post light
I really like this post lamp. My wife really likes its look and it appears well made. The price is great vs the three thousand it would have cost to rewire the existing electrical line that is grounded. Installation was a piece of cake - lifting off the old lamp, cutting and capping off the old wiring, putting on the new lamp, screwing it down, and voila! I had allowed the solar cells to charge the battery for about 24 hours, which enabled the light to initially shine for about 10-11 hours. Subsequently, in the winter sunlight lasting about seven hours, the lamp will last about 5-6 hours. Not happy with this, I removed one of the LED bulbs and replaced it with a burned out incandescent bulb. With two bulbs, the lamp now lasts about 7-9 hours, which for the limited winter sunlight, is acceptable to me. I expect that the summer sunlight will enable it to last closer to morning. Even with two instead of three LED bulbs, I'm still impressed with the brightness of the lamp. It compares well with the neighbors' hard-wired lamps. The light sensor does turn on the light quite a bit longer after dusk than typical - toward the end of nautical twilight and maybe into astronomical twighlight.

Game Changer
This look really nice, is easy to set up, and is so bright! Very pleased with the purchase.

Shockingly good
This product is shockingly good, for a solar-powered light. It looks genuinely like a 120v lamp (a fairly dim one, but very acceptable brightness). It is currently summer (so best possible solar conditions), and it seems to be running all night without any trouble. As the daylight wanes, temperatures drop, and nights get longer, we will see how it does... Wintertime update: We are now at our shortest (though not coldest) days of the year. In the winter, we often have very cloudy, gray days, which further hampers the output of solar panels. I am pleased to report that even after the worst solar charging days, the light manages to stay on for 3-4 hours after sunset. On cold, short days that are not so gray, the light stays on at least 6 hours, probably closer to 7. It would be nice if this light had a bit higher solar or battery capacity, to help get us through the darkest days, but I really can't complain. I live in an exceptionally gray area in the winter (Great Lakes region), and it really still does quite fine. So, keeping the review at 5 stars. My one concern is that it seems to be fully cycling the battery each day. Depending on how the electronics manage the battery, this could be putting a lot of wear in it. Time will tell how the battery performs after several years like this.

Good, not Great
Purchased this solar light to replace a wired light that accidentally had the wires dug up. What we liked: Looks similar to the light it replaces so looks like it belongs. Easy to install, fit and mounted well on the existing post without issue, looks good, has held up well through the first winter. Only negatives: Lights are not as bright as the wired light it replaced. Even on a day with full sunlight, the battery doesn't last all the way until dawn, but it gets pretty close. On those long winter nights preceded by an overcast day, it comes up pretty short.

Stunned at the high quality of this Lutec solar post light
After buying at least two other solar brands for my light post and being disappointed in their quality, I happened to come across this Lutec-brand solar light (just the lamp, not the post) at another website. I checked, and Amazon had this Lutec lamp post light for only $25 more than most of the other lamp post solar lights. Note that many solar lights for posts go for upwards of $300. So, I get the package and was stunned to se the quality of how it was wrapped, the heaviness of the light, the size and brightness of the light (almost double the lumens) compared to others, the careful engineering of all aspects of the mechanism, and how easy it was to assemble. So rarely does a product stand out this much compared to the competition. The Lutec light with the optional metal post is just as well engineered and available on Amazon and elsewhere for not much more money. The post for the light (it stands around six feet in height) is a marvel of engineering and design. So, I was so impressed I bought two of the lights, turned one on (the other one is still charging, and was impressed with the brightness--very warm and long lasting. I'm so impressed with the Lutec brand that now I'll only be buying this brand for my future outdoor/indoor lighting needs. The Lutec brand's manufacturing quality is 3-4 times the quality of other brands. And no, I received absolutely no money, products, or any incentive for this rave review.

Looks just like the hardwired version
Works like a charm. No one would ever know it's solar-powered.

Very poor and concerning return policy if product doesn’t work as advertised.
Light did not illuminate overnight as advertised. Allowed 2 days to fully charge and checked around 5 am and the light was out. Very disappointed especially when returned its is estimated in Amazon’s website that it will take a month from the time I dropped off to ups until it is delivered plus a week to process and another week to get credit. Return notice stated it could take 37 days from drop off to credit back to card. I had planned to order a non solar light set but will buy from a local store instead. This is ridiculous since my money is tied up nearly 2 months. I shipped back all mint condition parts and original packaging and concern they will find something to deduct. Never a Nutec product again and will look at local stores going forward instead of Amazon. Buyer beware!!!

Illumination
I purchased this to replace my old one. A break in the line, to expensive to fix. Next best thang ,solar. Easy to install. I did it in the morning to catch the sun. Lots of light to light walk way. Very nice. No complaints so far.
