Correction from earlier review. Product not a knock off. Wiss was bought by Apex. I was wrong! Had issue with product and was resolved. The people at Apex seem to genuinely care about product and customer satisfaction. Quality matters to them !!!

I specifically bought this brand because of another pair I have. I’ve had them for 10 plus years and I think they were my grandmothers before that. I use them for everything paper, labels, cloth and cutting small plastic tubing. They are still plenty sharp! Hoping these last like the other pair continues to do. They seem just as sturdy and solid. Well worth the money.

These are superb scissors just like the other pair of Wiss I bought 40 years ago (which still work well but finally got a little loose, so I decided to treat myself to a new pair.) The great thing about the Wiss over lots of other brands is that the lower blade has a nicely beveled edge so cutting on a flat surface is smooth even when you twist your wrist to cut around corners.. Lots of the other ones have a flat lower edge which jerks the fabric around when ones hand naturally moves. I recommend these and know they will last decades. Fine quality and very sharp. The only thing that was odd to me was the notice that came with them telling me that I should wear safety goggles while using them. Why? Maybe to protect my eyes from flying fabric threads!

These babies are constructed to last a life time. Last pair of scissors you'll ever buy. Dont fool around purchasing cheaper scissors that just dont hold up to high usage. These are the ones for you. Order yours today without wondering if you made the right choice!

Bought a couple scissors at the same time as a gift for my wife.The Wiss name was one my grandmother and mother used for years, so I bought it.I also bought a Fiskars razor edge at the same timeThe Fiskars cuts easier, feels better in the hand, looks better and is all around nicer. Now the test of time has yet to come, but it seems as if the Wiss name is banking on reputation, not technology.
