Hella Marine Master Battery Switch Spare Key

The problem with products like this is that they can be impractical to use; this product is very well made, holds up to weather, and is a cinch to use. I have mine concealed in the front grill of my truck. Shortly after getting the device I rear ended and totaled another car. While my grill and bumper were completely destroyed, the device still worked and the key didn't dislodged. Another advantage is that the base is black so it's just about impossible to locate if correctly concealed. There is no car alarm out there that prevents theft better than a well placed kill-switch. You can use this as a switching relay along any ignition source; be smart about where you put it, if you have to open your hood every time you use your vehicle you won't utilize it. Kill switches like this are used to protect heavy equipment that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars because it's the most effective deterrent. If this is cleverly installed a would be thief won't even know there is a kill switch installed. Finally, if you're not mechanically inclined ask a friend to install it for you.

I bought this item as a spare key for my KZ Spree RV, as I added a battery on/off switch to stop battery drainage during storage. The key works just fine.

Very expensive for a piece of plastic but it works well as a spare key.

This is a exact replacement for the key that comes with the standard Hella Battery disconnect switch.Does exactly what it should, albeit at a few dollars more than it should cost for a piece of plastic. Sturdy feel.I only wish the original disconnect had come with 2.

At quick glance and price point, it seems obvious this is for a Battery Master Switch. Slowing down and reading the title it's painfully obvious that this is for a key and not the switch. I thoroughly believe this is priced and pictured with the intent to deceive.I'll take the L and admit I should have been more observant with my purchase on this one, but this SINGLE KEY is priced HIGHER than the switch (with TWO KEYS) that I just purchase after my extreme disappointment of realizing I only ordered one single key...keep in mind..this is for ONE KEY and priced higher than a SWITCH with TWO KEYS!
