Bought it for washing the dog outside.We have a hot tap (tank fed) and a mains pressure cold tap. I was skeptical that this could handle the difference in pressures, and the description says it will not, but it seems to do it perfectly.Put hot water is VERY hot and so we hat trouble before trying to get the temperature to balance.Cold water would end up going up the hot pipe as we didn't have a return valve installed. This valve has solved all the problems. Turn both taps on as much as you want, and it will regulate the temperature.To test, I turned on hot tap by itself, it let it run initially (as the hot water was still cool in the pipes), but as the hot water came through, the vaksve completely shut off the hot water. I then started to turn on the cold water as well, and the vaksve mixed then as expected, and water started to flow out the hose. I then tried the opposite (cold only, and then hot) and it did the same thing, it wouldn't let super cold water through by itself without mixing in hot.I then tried turning the valve to its lowest setting and tried just the cold tap, and it let it though without any hot water, again, thus is ideal, and allows us to not have to disconnect the valve to fill buckets etc.I did have to order some adapters off screwfix (item 98427) to convert it to the hose fittings (3/4").

Great valve which works really well with good temperature range

I have just installed the device on my cold supply washing machine and set the mixer at 42 Deg C. This hopefully will reduce the operation of the electric heating element heating the cold water to our required temperature. This device is just installed 21-1-23 and we have not had time to review its performance.

Excellent build quality, smooth temperature grading and a great solution to bring warm water to an outside tap to wash the dog.

This is listed as thermostatic. It's not. If it is is rubbish. I bought this last year for a project and only got to do it today. It is to mix the heat for a bum gun, so a very sensitive area. It favours hot water in my case 60c before it lets the cold in. The gun body got so hot I had to drop it, and the water took 5 seconds or more to blend to the setting.IT is positively dangerous. Think very carefully before buying this product. I replaced it with a mixer only less than £10 more and its perfect.

Looks quality

Not the best mixer tap, very sensitive so best used for a semi permanent install. Seems to sap allot of water pressure but what can you expect for 12 quid.

The media could not be loaded. My daughter has a young son and I am worried being in an older property her bath does not have a temperature regulator fitted. When I saw this offered I jumped at the chance to get one for her.The device is well presented in a foam filled box with a roll of PTFE tape included. This is a nice little addition both in terms of presentation and shows this manufacturer has put in a bit of thought in the way they present their products.There is a set of instructions included and the valve is well marked.The chrome dome top is nicely made and the temperature lock works well. It’s almost a shame it is going to be hidden under the bath and would not look out of place if it happens to be on show.
