Rome Cast Iron Double Pie Irons, Set of 2

Love these things. If your getting them for pies you might consider the single ones. The double work great for hot pockets and sandwiches though. It's hard to get the pies done evenly.

I like the double pie iron because the bread fits in it better. Single pie iron is way too small.

I have two of these and 4 single pie irons and felt I needed to balance out a previous reviewer who gave it a poor rating. To be fair to her comment, they are heavy and unless you have a fire ring or rock to use as a rest they will give your forearms a work out. If you know anything about cast iron or pie irons it would come as no surprise that doubling the capacity increases their weight substantially.When production is key I break out these bad boys. I use a tripod or the fire ring to help support the weight. These are high quality pie irons and you should expect them to weigh a bit more especially compared to the cheaper cast aluminum.

Yes, these are heavy but man they are fantastic! Takes a good arm to carry and handle for a longer period of time because they are cast iron but they will last a lifetime! My family has been using these for generations. Some of my best memories were made around fires in the mountains making some of my favorite meals with these sturdy tools!Easy to clean, durable (never had one break), it’s a great cookout tool! Throw it in the back of the truck or trunk of your car. (Just don’t take it with you while backpacking.)
