New Metro KA-5L Original Beater Blade Works w/ Most KitchenAid 5 Qt Bowl-Lift Stand Mixers, Grey

This paddle is wonderful. I have tried all kinds but this is the first one that actually worked for me.. It scraped the sides of my bowl appears to be a good quality paddle.. I washed it in the dishwasher on the top shelf and it did just fine I am so happy to find a paddle that actually worked. It fit my mixer and was so easy to put on. I put my mixer on high speed to see if it would still scrap the sides of my bowl and it worked great. II recommend this to anyone who is looking for a paddle that actually scrapes . I have the large kitchenaid mixer with the lift bowl.

My Mom passed away a few months ago and I inherited her Kitchen Aid Mixer. Included with the attachments was a Beater Blade. I took it out and saw the blade had broken. I don't know how Mom broke it, but after reading the product reviews on Amazon, I ordered a new one. When it arrived, the package said "Lifetime Guarantee." I wrote to New Metro Design, and told them my situation. I don't know how it broke, and frankly, didn't think they would replace it. THEY DID! And gave me a newer model! So, if anyone is wondering whether they should take a chance and buy this excellent tool (many reviews have wondered if it would last), know that you are buying from a company that stands behind its products. It is both an excellent tool (I've only used it to make cookies, but it works GREAT!) AND an excellent company. What a nice surprise when me and my family have been so sad after losing my wonderful Mom. It was greatly appreciated!

This is the only blade/paddle I use for all my baking (except breads). It has had heavy use in the past 3 years and just cracked today (along an arm). I would have liked it to last forever, but it has done much for me. I just ordered the metal version in hopes of a longer life with what I throw at it.

I ordered this Beater Blade back in June 2016 and have been using it for the past 4 years. I use my KitchenAid a lot more because I no longer have to stop and scrape the bowl. A few months ago, I was dumping ingredients in the mixer when I heard a "pop" sound. It was then that I realized that I had forgotten to defrost my butter. (I broke my plastic cookie dough blade for my Bosch mixer the same way, so I did know better). Even though the blade has a crack in it up at the top, I have continued to use it, and now I am looking to get a replacement. The genuine Kitchenaid blade is listed at over $40 it is metal and only has the scraper on one side of it. I did purchase a Chinese product last week for $7.50 and the blade came without the scraper part on it. So, did I get what I paid for with that one, nope because it is unusable and I am trying to get the company to replace it.

Quality replacement part that fits my Kitchen Aid mixer. I did have to turn a screw on my mixer to lift the attachment height setting, but that is to be expected and it really easy.Dishwasher safe and works perfectly. Have used to mix bread dough, meat mixtures, and other items so far and works exactly as I hoped. Great buy.

Unlike the wire whisk that comes with the KitchenAid, this scrapes the sides of the bowl and doesn't leave a lot of residue stuck inside the paddle. This is the second one I bought; I recently broke the first one because my bread batter was too stiff and the thing twisted off. That's my one caution, because this paddle is all plastic, not metal.Easy to clean and safe for the top rack of the dishwasher.
