No. It is made from a FOAM (soft plastic) type material and is all one piece.

are these guns adult size?

This gun is actually quite large, at least full sized. It is not cartoonish Yosemite Sam sized, but is every bit as large as an actual gun. I bought it for a play prop and it looked very realistic and fit the full-sized holster perfectly. Hope this helps!

Can you cock the hammer?

You can cock the hammer but the cylinder doesn't rotate. Pull the trigger after cocking the hammer and it will fall. The cylinder only rotates by hand.

Does the cylinder come out

It’s a single action army, it’s not supposed to come out.
