Honestly looking at them, I wasn't sure how they would work. At first, I wasn't sure I had them on properly and so I watched the instructional video online which I should have done first because I'm a visual learner. I readjusted them and realized that I did not have them on correctly because I immediately noticed a difference. I never liked using earplugs that you put inside your ear. They would bother me and I would eventually remove them. The Ear Muffers were very comfortable to sleep in and did not bother me at all and they did minimize the noise. Now I know I will get some sleep on the cruise. ### ⭐⭐ Didn't work for me *by E***7 on September 14, 2023* Bought them for a concert and tried to apply before the show. They didn't stick to my ear or my partner's ear. I don't know if it was because it was hot outside and the glue was compromised, but I felt very lucky to have brought backup earplugs just in case. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best for water protection *by S***K on July 22, 2022* I'm an audiologist who tried these sticky pads myself. By carefully placing the pad to cover most of the outer ear, the user will be able to shower and swim with decent water protection. Custom earplugs are often outgrown fast when they're made for young children, or they can be top heavy (pulling outwards from the ear). Non custom wax plugs may fall out, and are just generally a pain to deal with. Also, you don't have to worry about inserting an unsanitized earplug into an ear canal or pushing earwax in further. This, itself, can cause otitis externa.EarMuffers are easy to install after following the directions (there's a video). If you save the paper backing, you may even use them a couple of times before disposing.For children who want to swim underwater, purchase an Ear Band-It and place tightly over the EarMuffers. You'll need double protection.An unusual application is for hikers. Bugs getting into ear canals is more common than you might think, and these gritters can cause pain once they're inside. Protect your ears and hear your companions with EarMuffers.I can't give a review for noise protection.
