Simple Blueprint for Long-term Financial Success!
I was first introduced to this book in 2007 by a friend who had an interest in personal finance and investing. At the time, I was in the process of changing jobs. I was moving to a job that had offered me $20k more than my previous position. My friend asked me did I have a plan to capitalize on my significant increase in income. At the time, I didn't have a solid plan so he recommended this book. However, the concepts in this book are for EVERYONE, whether you are struggling to get by or experiencing a boost in income.I read the book from cover to cover and immediately implemented the automatic savings plan outlined by the author, David Bach. Bach's advice is clear, easy to follow and mostly important...it works!I have followed Bach's advice to save automatically since 2007 and I can attest to the fact that over the past 12 years it has served me well. Without this book, I may not have made good use of my new salary.Following Bach's advice has helped me to both weather several "financial storms" over these years AND actually get ahead because I had some money set aside.I found Bach's advice to be so practical and helpful that I purchased other books in his series. The Automatic Millionaire had such a profound impact on my life that I routinely give it as a gift to those who I know would benefit from its principles. So, if you are hesitant, go ahead and buy the book. This small purchase can change the trajectory of your life if you are ready to take the simple steps outlined in the book!

A great read!
I was recommended this book by a family member and I was so intrigued I bought the Kindle version on the spot in the car while she was still telling me about it! I know for most of us, getting out of debt is of utmost importance and can be overwhelming when you’re unsure of how to tackle it. Our heart’s desire is to be debt free and financially free! This book gives you the knowledge and tools to be just that. I personally found it to be enlightening and motivating. It’s an easy, quick read with simple methods that will help you become an automatic millionaire OVER TIME. It’s not a get rich quick scheme so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is not the book for you but if you’re looking for a sure, fireproof way to achieve your financial goals then you’ll benefit from this book.My husband and I have already started implementing some of the steps. I feel so empowered and that we are well on our way to becoming debt free and achieving financial freedom!I have and will continue to recommend this book to everyone I know needs it!

Great/easy to read book!
I find this book as a good reminder of what I already know. Simple things like:1) If your money is deducted automatically-there goes the saying 'the money you don't see, you don't spend"2) It's not how much you make but how much you keep that matters.3) Living below your means will make you rich-spending less, saving moreYes, it takes a lot of discipline to apply Mr. Bach's advice. But as he said, do changes in your life gradually, it will become second nature to you then things will get better. No, you won't have a miserable life just to have a lot of money saved up. The point is to plan ahead of time. It's also choosing what you prefer to have. For example, my family and I would rather go for expensive vacations like cruises and international destinations than live in a 'gigantic' house. Drive a Honda or any reliable vehicle until it dies instead of having a Mercedes and keep trading it every 2-3 yrs., etc. It's a matter of choice....David mentioned that there's nothing new on what he's going to say but he wrote the book in such a way that people will see little things they take for granted. Little expenses they don't realize adding up....I know having money deducted from my paycheck automatically for different things like retirement, emergency savings, college for kids, vacations, future vehicles, etc...is easy said than done. But it really can be done...As I said earlier, it's all about planning and prioritizing...I've done it before...it takes $50/week for 4 years to save >$10,000 (don't forget the interest!)....That was my vacation fund.....during those 4 years, I didn't even have to skip putting money away for retirement and other things; no credit card debt either....It's all up to you! Use time to your advantage....David mentioned that we all need to have balance in our lives. We can have fun and financial security at the same time....Good Luck!

Exceptionally good advice
Since I read this book not only did my very bad credit score i.e. zero credit, improve but my saving habit has helped enormously. I was able to go on my dream trip of driving and wild camping round Iceland. Got to see the northern lights! The advice in this book will help you understand how to make your money make money. It will stop you blaming money for your problems and start thanking it for its solutions. You will start having the life of your dreams rather than watching them slip away.

Life changing
I started with The Latte Factor and was immediately drawn to reading The Automatic Millionaire. This is no-nonsense straightforward truths about money, human nature and how to set ourselves up for success and affluence. It's the kind of things my grandmother always talked about but that I didn't start integrating until 30 years later. Shame on me. The sooner you get this underway, the faster you'll get there. Good luck!

simple and brilliant
This book gives simple to understand and more importantly simple to implement advice. I wish I found it 30 years ago! A perfect gift for anyone who is just starting out on their financial life or anyone who just wants to understand money better. Thanks David

It was ok
Didn't seem like the author knew whether he was talking to a British or American reader and a lot of the ideas were taken from elsewhere. Ultimately this book spent nearly the entire time on saving and only gave a brief discussion on investing with what was actually not great advice. On the whole it was ok, but there's much better books out there.

Gems all the way.
This has been written in simple language which makes it really easy to read. The steps to implement in one's financial journey are clear and can be used in any part of the world. Not very sure about the not budgeting bit but it's worth a try after all, learning is a continuous process. Would absolutely recommend to everyone.
