Worth it!
Love this mower & accessories! So easy to use! And it does a great job on our rough & bumpy yard. It's got a METAL deck which is amazing for a battery powered mower. They are typically plastic. Only 2 complaints: 1) this sucker is HEAVY. I can push/pull it with no problem while mowing, I just cannot physically fold it up to put it up by myself. 2) I wish the battery lives were longer. We can mow the yard with one solid charge, but there's not much left after. And it takes a long time to fully charge them. Was hoping to send my tween out to earn his own money this summer mowing the neighbors yards, but that's not very easy or practical with this type of mower requiring a full charge in between lawns.

Little issue at first, turned out good though.
My first ever cordless electric mower. At first I thought it was a dud. It's really confusing how to turn on, why can't it just be a switch or button? The manual was lawyer speak so it was very unhelpful on how to turn on. DON'T USE PROFESSIONAL WORDING- speak like I'm a moron, cause i am. Then the first use- the battery only lasted 10 minutes on a full charge- kept stalling out during this too, thought it was a bad battery. But 2nd charge it went more like 20 minutes and ran solid. I got a 3rd party 6000mah battery for it, that worked great with it too, now I can mow for almost an hour of pure chaos! Overall i am happy with it, though I kinda wish I had gone for the 80v model for more power. Don't be lazy about mowing and you'll be okay, seriously just don't let that grass get too tall or you'll wish you had the 80v version too. Oh and... even on highest height setting... thing thing cuts extremly low to the ground. Like... almost putting green low. I've never seen that on a gas powered mower... is this how all electric mowers are? It's nice looking results, but I do nick a few more rocks.

Good Mower with a Coupla Caveats
I bought this last year when I retired our wired electric lawn mower. I wanted/needed the wheel assist because our yard is hilly. And losing the extension cord makes a big difference. It does a great job, with 2 caveats...battery life and wheel assist. My backyard is very small, big garden with a lawn boundary+. I've been running out of juice mid-mow...well, honestly, at the end of the mow. I think it's because I've got the mower down at 2". It's just a theory, but if it's cutting relatively long grass, it uses more power. I'll be raising it up to 3-4" for the rest of the summer. I bet I'll be able to mow it all without it conking out...but I bot another battery nonetheless. Sittin' around waiting for recharge as I write. And, while I really appreciate the wheel assist, it's powerful enough that it gets away from me. It takes off and drags me with it, lol. So I most often need to temper the speed by just moving the bar an inch or so. It's a little herky-jerky that I can live with, I guess. It's a good mower and I'm learning to make it work.

cuts great and very easy to operate
I have only used my new mower one time but WOW! i am a 69 year old woman and was looking for a light mower. i was initially upset it wasn't 21 pounds (almost returned it) but it is still feels pretty light and handles easily. it cuts like a charm with one pass. i was able to do my lawn in about 15 minutes! (previously would take me 40 minutes with old mower repeating areas to get all the grass cut) so the power level was very satisfactory and the blades did the job the first time. i was giddy at how great it mowed! not wanting to stop i then did the side yard (about as big as the front yard, and then a little out front by our field and still had 2 dots left on my battery. i used it totally about 35 minutes and didn't even break a sweat. our lawn is on a hill side and only needed the self propel when i was going uphill. i only had it on the second lowest self propel level and it took me uphill like a charm. and as someone else said... be sure to let go of the self propel handle when making a turn on the back wheels or it will take you for a ride!! i did not need the self propel to go sideways or downhill. without the self propel on you can mow backwards also and just lift the front and and place it down into small areas and it cuts great that way also. and i did not have to repeat areas to get the cut nice like my previous mower which admittedly was a battery powered self propelled reel mower . best yet - the grass looks fantastic.

Love it
This is replacing the Greenworks 19" cordless. It is quite a bit heavier, noisier and harder to maneuver for cutting in and doing corners. That said, on the straight cuts, it's brilliant. I have no problem with the self-propel bar except to remember to let go before it takes me into the street. The battery for me is much easier to take out than the nineteen inch. It comes straight up, and if needed two hands can be used. The other had a horizontal extraction on an angle which was difficult for only one old hand to grip and pull out just the right way. It is a powerful machine, and it will use a lot of power. The battery given will not last the complete cut for me with a small yard even if it is a 5.0 AH. I think most people will need a second battery. With two cordless mowers, a cordless blower vac and a cordless snow blower, Greenworks has yet to disappoint me.

Great quality, but has limitations.
Pros: Quiet, easy start up, no maintenance, self-propelled multitude of options for bagging, mulching or side discharge. Cons: Battery life is mediocre, power can be lacking and sometimes inconsistent. Thick grass, not even tall grass can be a challenge for it. This is my first foray into battery powered mowers. Knowing what I know now, I should have invested in the 60 or 80v line. The mower itself is awesome. Build quality is great, it's a fraction of the weight of a similar gas powered mower. Under normal conditions, where the grass isn't super tall or thick, this would be a great mower. But, we had a wet spring and summer and that made it challenging and frustrating at times trying to cut grass. It tended to be underpowered most of the time. It just couldn't handle the load and stalled out quite often. And at a times, to keep it cutting, I've had to open the rear discharge chute and side chute to keep it from getting bogged down. Once I did that, it usually cut just fine, but I would end up covered in clippings. The other thing I'm noticing, is that it doesn't generate enough blade speed under light loads to adequately discharge the clippings out the side chute and it'd clog up and eventually bog down under load. This would cause it to increase RPM, and decrease battery life. It really should have a high lift blade, but again, it would decrease battery life. My lot is less than .1 acre of mowable grass. There's been times where I've needed to use a 3rd battery to finish. If I'd have known, I would have bought the 60v or 80v mowerim not sure what I'll do with this one. I may try to sell it and recoup some funds and upgrade to one of the other lines. Battery powered mowers require more thought to go into them than gas mowers, you have to understand the type of grass you have, and be realistic about how often you're going to cut it. Gas mowers generally have enough power to get through most yards with no problem, unless you're running a small 130cc mower. But, in terms of battery powered stuff, it seems you definitely want to go bigger than you think you need to, it's better to have the extra power on tap.

Powerful and quiet
Got this to replace a 12 year old Greenwise 19โ mower. This one has way more power and it quieter. They added self-propelled feature makes mowing a real breeze. As long as you follow proper battery charging in storage protocol (store at around 50% charge in a cool spot indoors, and never leave it fully charged in a shed or a garage) will last a long time. Also, lithium batteries get damaged when fully drained so switch batteries soon after the charge indicator light on the battery gets down to one bar.
