These No-return valves can often be first to go on a heavily used, medium duty air compressors. Just be sure of size (in general as theyre most always of only a few standard sizes), & most importantly, make comprehensive comparison of which ports need be male /or female threaded, respectively for your applicationThis is a much higher quality check valve than the one it was purchased to replace; over time, between excessive heat & moisture in the tank -the threads that secured the spring cap were eaten away clean, & that cap Blew off across the room like a bulletThis fitting is of superior brass constitution than its former; seems to me evident this piece will provide greater heat resistance/dissipation,while the cap seems held far more securely, is a bit longer so is threaded in deeper, threads look beef-ier even

So this fitting is not exactly as it appears. The small fitting is correct the 1/2npt is correct the 3/8 is supposed to be not but instead it's tappered like the 1/8 small end.

I bought this to replace the one that came from the factory, it works great and seems to be a little better quality than the factory unit.

I had a leak in the compressor and my diagnosis lead me to think it was the check valve. Turns out the valve is fine ... My switch diaphram has a leak.

It was easy to replace on my air compressor and finally it's usable again.
