I’ve had Lifeproof cases on all of my previous iPhones, and I’ve NEVER had any issues with them. I’ve adored their cases, have only ever needed to replace one after numerous major falls significantly scratched the case but saved the phone within. I’ve recommended Lifeproof cases to countless people over the years, and have never had a single complaint.Until this iPhone 11 model. I don’t know what this case is, but it’s sure not what I had come to expect from Lifeproof. This case starts disintegrating after 4-5 months of light to normal use, without fail. Despite having been rough on my phone years ago, I’m actually very very careful with it these days, and never drop it at all. That doesn’t matter; this case destroys itself while you hold it in your hand. The soft part of the case (along the edges of the front, including the buttons on the side) dissolve (and worse, do so in a way that leaves a terrible staining residue on the screen, your hands, your clothing — whatever it comes in contact with). When this first happened, I thought it was a fluke, so I ordered a replacement by filing a warranty claim. The second one had the same issue within 4-5 months of light use. I filed ANOTHER claim, and once again, the same thing happened. This is not a fluke. It’s not a dud or a small number of defective items. There’s a major problem with the material they use and the entire product design is defective, and these cases WILL NOT LAST.I don’t know what happened to Lifeproof, but clearly it is no longer the trusted company it once was. If they genuinely had any interest in providing quality cases, they would look at customer feedback, recognize the issue, and change the design ASAP so successive orders and replacements are not defective. I will never purchase another Lifeproof case again, nor will I ever recommend them to others again. Even if you have had great experience with Lifeproof before, you should steer clear of this case and choose another brand entirely. Do not buy this unless you’re prepared to get a new one several times a year, or are giving it as a gift to someone you absolutely despise.

It was nice

So there I was on a trip with 6 of my good friends in West Virginia. We had decided to do a “guys” trip and end it with Whitewater Rafting the Upper Gauley River. It was a perfect 60 degree evening when my friend Nate and I rolled into our rented cabin. We were the last ones to arrive and as a result were behind by several beers. As with all bad decisions in life, we got started “catching up”. Long story…short. I MAY have spend 3+ hours in the cabins hot tub while enjoying copious amounts of aged Rum. I awoke the next morning and couldn’t locate my phone. After searching everywhere, I decided, on a whim, to check the hot tub. There it was…..Dead nuts center of the tub and lying on the bottom. We all looked at each other and then the mourning for my phone started. A stupid night resulted in the death of my $1200 cell phone (It’s just stupid that phones cost this much but don’t start me on this topic). Back to the story. I reached into the hot tub and grabbed my phone. To my utter shock and amazement, my phone was completely fine! It was a balmy 105 degrees, but besides this, was totally undamaged. All 6 of my friends immediately asked me. What the c:($!,(&&!? Kind of case is that?! I replied Lifeproof, and it will be the case that I buy for every phone that I ever own from now on. This was a Long story, but this case is for real and I can honestly say that it is Hot Tub “life” tested.

I did the water test upon arrival and everything was successful!! Put case in my phone and it fit snug and perfect. Even was able to keep my own screen protector on inside case. Did have to remover camera lenses cover to fit in case but it was fine. I know the case it tried and true. My boyfriend has had one for years and he drops his all the time. Worth the extra money knowing will be safe in this case! I’m clumsy by nature so definitely much needed!! Pulse the purple color is very pretty not too bright or over powering.

Two month ago I put on a new Lifeproof case. Due to unfortunate circumstances I dropped my phone in a storm drain. After two days I was able to retrieve it with city worker’s help and they found it several feet under water. It was dry and working perfectly! So I just replaced the case which had taken quite some wear on the fall and with the debris. Also a few years ago we backed a SUV full of people over my daughter’s case. It had tire marks, but phone was still in mint condition. Worth every penny!

Lifeproof stands up to its name. Best phone case to handle all ur drops and never breaking a screen. Number #1 in my books after using lifeproof for over 15 years.

Very secure and waterproof. Very easy to install. I use mine while hunting and fishing and my phone is never wet.

Awesome phone case for tradesmen or outdoors.I’m a plumber by trade. This case has saved my phone from damage many times. Keeps the dust out, it’s waterproof and withstood many drops from a 6’ tall ladder. Plus it’s not bulky, slim and fits nicely in pockets. Great phone case 👍🏻
