Hats off to LaCiie / Seagate for creating such a great storage device. I recently had one of the disks on a back up RAID go bad. Rather than replace that drive, and await the failure of the others, I opted to purchase this 3TB solid state wonder. It‘s a magnificent little bit of hardware. The only problem I foresee is telling them apart when I purchase more of these. I really despise the P-touch. Maybe I need some stickers. Hey, LaCie, why not include some cool stickers with the drive to help repeat customers tell them apart? That quibble aside, Five Stars!

This external SSD is great! I love how compact it is and it has a great transfer speed for data. It's an excellent option for a quality, quick, compact SSD with a lot of storage space. The USB-C connection makes it the perfect choice for with everything changing over to USB-C. I got tired of having to use a dongle/dock with my MacBook Pro for my older externals so this has been a perfect fit for my workflow.

I use this to back up an iMac. Works like a charm! It's light, about the size of a square deck of cards, half the thickness. Counting on SSD tech to be way more reliable in the long run over a spinning hard drive. So far so good!

Using this 1 terabyte SSD with our new Blackmagic switcher when recording worship services. It has excellent quality snd is very easy to plug snd play. It uses USB-C into the SSD and also includes a high speed (blue inside) USB cable. I recommend this SSD if you need extra storage capacity, and it also comes in additional capacities. Be sure to buy a storage/carrying case if you are going to be moving it around.

This is amazing. I am a long time LaCie hard drive customer and I wanted an SSD to go with the MacBook that was packing a SSD as well. I wanted to use Carbon Copy Cloner for a bootable external Mac OS for the LaCie to work off the MacBook. It is a little bit bigger then a credit card, almost as light. It comes with two USB cables as the LaCie SSD has USB 3.1 already installed into it as a SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) ... so USB 3.0 .. when it goes to verson USB 3.2 .. and then up to USB 3.3 ... this La Cie is already built to handle the huge boost in data transfer. They also give you a 3.x cable end ... and a USB 2.0 end for the older computers you might want to plug into. As for Gaming ... and external HD ... whoops ... eternal SSD ... doubt there is better out there right now.

Great drive for taking a large music collection anywhere :)

I don’t understand why some reviewers state that the marketing is wrong on this. The description states the speed of the drive. It’s thin, small and great. Not the fastest compared to new drives but it’s very good. LaCie should update to the faster speeds…..they are behind. Love the drive and please roll out newer speed drives to keep pace with SanDisk!!

Very Fast. Bought this drive to backp my MacBook Pro. It is small, compact and very fast because it is an SSD drive. LaCie drives are my favorite. They are the featured drive for Macs at Apple retail stores. I love this one Sharon

I read some comments, here, saying that it was just regular USB. In my case the port are thunderbolt/USB-C and it's definetly faster than regular USB. For the price it's really a good product so far. I use it on my 500MB SSD 2017 iMac. I put my entire dropbox folder on it. It's a bit slower than having it directly on my machine, but not enough for it to be a problem at all. Really glad I bought this!

Utilizzato come disco di backup per l'ufficio si è rivelato un ottimo prodotto come LaCie ci ha da sempre abituato, 500Gb erano perfetti per me e per i soldi che volevo spendere, necessitando di una connessione Type-C. Aumentando la capacità si può avere un bello store di dati, la cui velocità lo rende davvero un missile scambiando dati al massimo consentito. é molto leggero ma al tempo stesso trasmette sensazione di solidità, a corredo arriva con il cavo Type-C ma anche con altre "riduzioni" Type-C / Usb-B

Great Ssd drive for backup and storage. I don't use any of the built it backup tools or apps. I use it on my MacBook pro withTime Machine backup and works great and fast. And I like the fact that it is small, light weight and very nice design. I highly recommend it.

Çok memnunum. Type-c bağlantısı ile kullanıyorum. Yaptığım testlerde okuma hızı belirtildiği kadar hızlı. Yazma hızı ise 90mb civarında. Ubuntu işletim sistemini kurdum içine ve tüm işlerimi oradan çok hızlı ve hiç bir takılma yaşamadan yapabiliyorum. Kutudan hem type-c hemde USB 3 kablo çıkıyor. Tek eksiği encryption (şifreleme) özelliğinin olmaması. Böyle bir şeye ihtiyacı olanlara kesinlikle tavsiye ederim.
