Cheap and Easy!
I used this on my 10/22 and it worked pretty well. I tried to attach the front end of the sling to the barrel band screw, that didn't fit mine but it might work for you. I have a synthetic stock that is fairly hollow so I was a little concerned about the screws pulling out or stripping the stock. I removed the rifle from the stock and I drilled two holes into the stock. The screws were pretty easy to install and are secure, no loosening or movement at all. I feel like this was a good upgrade for me, I like having the option of attaching a sling.

In My Opinion the Best Sling Swivels
I like Uncle Mike's products and have been buying them for quite a while. I think their sling swivels are the best made, especially if you are trying to put a sling on a Ruger 10/22. Most stocks that come with this rifle don't have sling swivels - or at least not in the right places. The little adaptor that allows you to attach a swivel to the front barrel band is worth the entire price of this product! Of course you're then going to have to figure out what to do to the rear of the stock. One caution...the adaptor does NOT fit some after-market barrel bands for the Ruger 10/22. For instance, the Liberty Training Rifle from E.A. Brown uses a much larger screw than Ruger. It won't fit. Also be sure you order the right size. Most slings are either 1" or 1.25" wide. If you order too small, your sling won't fit. You can go the other way and use a 1.25" swivel with a 1" sling, but it looks bad and you will be ridiculed at the range.

Requires simple modification for Ruger PC9, works well once done.
I thought I ordered the right part for the Ruger 9mm carbine, but the outside of the rear swivel hole on the stock required some filing. The profile was too big, and pushed the swivel open (Though not all the way) when the swivel was tilted all the way forward (Like it would be if you were carrying the rifle over your shoulder). The modification is very straightforward and not a big deal if you have some small files and sandpaper. Just push the swivel back and forth to see where you need to remove material. Rinse and repeat until the swivel can move freely all the way forward. They work great once modification is complete, though I would obviously recommend you find the correct part for the rifle.

Great quality, required modification.
I bought these to fit an old 1987 Marlin model 60 .22lr. Wood stock. It had holes in it previously from some kind of stud, I figured these would require a little bit of modification to get fitted. Boy, I was right. The diameter of these was much larger than the old holes, but that was fine as I knew it would be a tight fit. I marked off the depth I needed to go for the short one, and proceeded to accidentally drill through my stock (which is fine, it's where the mag tube sits anyway.) I screwed it in, and the short one was much too long for my forend. I took it back out, removed the spacer (the white looked TERRIBLE with the wood) and ground off the tip. After about 20 mins of grind and screw, the front one was installed. The back one was muchlonger than I needed, but it didn't matter since I was drilling into solid wood. However, because the stock and hole weren't drilled at right angles, I had to countersink the head of the stud into the stock to get a flush fit. After all this complaining, you might wonder why I rated this four stars. Just by looking at this product, you can tell why Mike's is THE standard for inexpensive rifle swivels and mounts. These are of a nice quality; I won't have any worries about my light little gun falling off the sling. They are probably thicker and longer for bigger weapons, so I'm not going to dock them much for it. Honestly, it was a little difficult getting a good fit (I HATE drilling into my gun stocks as I'm about the furthest thing from a woodworker) but I was super pleased with the result. Only thing I'd change is to maybe offer smaller ones for rimfire rifles or acknowledge in the description that it may not fit smaller stocks (again, this also falls on me for poor planning.). Also, please include a black spacer. Overall, though, it was a really quality product!

Don't follow the directions
Installed on a Ruger 10/22 with synthetic stock. Read a number of reviews that were unhappy with the barrel band attachment. It works fine except don't follow the directions and place the mount between the barrel band halves, instead take the screw out and place the mount under the head of the screw and reinstall. The slight offset doesn't matter. Note that you many have to drill the mount hole out a little for the screw to fit through it, the smooth shank of the screw is slightly larger than the threaded portion. It is best done with a drill press and the mount in a secure clamp. Again don't follow the directions if you are installing on a synthetic stock. Installing the butt end was done by not countersinking ( the stock is to thin). Just drill the hole with a 5/32" bit and screw in the 1/2" lug without the white washer. Works just fine.

Fit the bill
Bought these for a Ruger 10/22 since the gun does not come with any sling mount points. Relatively easy to install assuming you know how to use a drill and can drill a straight hole. The rifle has a wood stock (dense wood - you need a good drill) and I was a bit hesitant in drilling the hole. Disassembled the gun and put it in a vice to keep it steady. Drilling the hole was then simple. The hardest part was screwing the eye hole, a right sized allen wrench worked fine. I used the mount piece for the barrel band on the front of the gun - fit snug (perfect fit). I had no issue with the white washer. It's barely visible, if insignificant things like that bother... you then spend .03 and buy a black washer. Good quality, perfect for my 22, relatively easy to install.

Uncle Mike's ... need I say more?
I used these on my takedown Ruger 10/22 with synthetic stock. The stock is hollow so when you drill into it, start with your smallest bit and work up to the size recommended. I didn't use the white spacer and I used Gorilla Glue as a lube, screwing the rear stud in. Don't forget, it takes a little water to activate this glue, you don't need much of either. The front stud is either in the stock or between the barrel band. I chose the barrel band stud but my band is plastic, so instead of putting it between the band, I trimmed the nut side of the band just enough for the spade to fit in the nut recess and there was enough thread protruding to place the nut over the stud's spade. Otherwise, if you trim between the band for the spade, you won't have much plastic left. My way is strong enough and it doesn't weaken the band!

Worked great. I like that this kit includes both a regular screw-in style stud for the forearm as well as a small insert specifically for the Ruger 10/22, which has a plastic band the stud attaches to. The spring-loaded attachment points on the swivels are a little touchy, but I don't "quick detach" any of my slings - they stay on the rifle. This is a great kit for the price and super easy to install. Didn't take 2 minutes.

Well made product with clear instructions and easy to install. Keep in mind you will need to file the barrel band to fit the barrel band adapter in.

Solid product
I used these to attach a sling to a Ruger 10/22. I simply drilled the wooden stock, and installed the screws, which are holding very well indeed.
