Absolute best stomach-sleeper pillows EVER
My search for a stomach sleeping pillow is over. My whole life I've slept on down pillows, and over time I've become like the princess and the pea, not only did I need the softest finest down, I also found that the inner containment case material itself was crucial, I'd ordered just about every stomach-sleeping down premium 'soft' fine thread-count cover pillow by every TOP luxury brand, and the true fact is, the only pillow soft enough in both the fill AND the containing material was Cuddle Down's heirloom down stomach sleeper pillow in a silk charmeuse case, with an additional silk charmeuse pillow case on top of that. Yes, I really can tell a difference between the silk inner pillow INSIDE the silk case - it makes a huge softness and pliability difference compared to the finest cotton threadcount, my face really feels it. Unfortunately, with the nature of that ultra delicate down fill, they get flattened and broken down within a year or two and it's been a tough pill to swallow buying a new set of those astronomically expensive pillows every year or so, they had originally cost me $100+ each, but recently went up to $400 a pop!! This was just not sustainable anymore (though this is not about pampered indulgent luxury, this is about simply what it takes anymore for me to get a decent night's sleep without developing a crick in my neck that lasts a week, or tossing in discomfort losing hours of sleep because of 'rough' pillow feeling on my face). So after putting off buying a $400 pillow for a year while my current down pillows were degrading to flat lumpy messes, I decided it was time to find a more affordable alternative. I searched far and wide and ordered 5 different pillows that purported to be for stomach sleepers, with the emphasis on flat, pancake, stomach, etc. made of various materials from down, memory foam, man-made fill etc. and among others, ordered this 'adjustable pancake' pillow with its 6 layers (almost out of curiosity more than believing it would be a solution). What to my AMAZEMENT - each of the 6 "layers" was a PERFECT individual pillow, the material of the fabric, while not being silk charmeuse, is as SOFT and pliable as silk, and the inner filling is likewise as soft as down -- the pillows were an exact duplicate of the softness of my $400 heirloom silk covered down stomach pillows. I always sleep with two pillows - with one of my arms in between, and two of these pancake pillows have PERFECTLY replaced those outrageously expensive down pillows, at the same optimal thickness, softness, pliability, yet fluffy support. I put one 'pancake' layer each into my existing charmeuse silk pillow cases and my face, neck and self slept soundly and delightfully through the night. The 'container' that these 6 layers come in is really kind of nothing but a bag as far as I'm concerned, I'd never use all six pancakes at once nor do I think the container bag is suitable as an actual pillow case to sleep on - but what I do think is I've just purchased six unbelievably perfect stomach pillows for $13 each ($80 divided by 6) - each one as soft and delightful as the $400 pillows. I obviously couldn't be more delighted by these pillows.Of course it's an open question at this point how long they will last before the fluff clumps or breaks down, but at $13 a pillow (layer) I can buy THIRTY of these before I reach the cost of one of the heirloom down pillows, so it's not a worry!

Stomach sleepers rejoice!
I spent the last 15 years sleeping on a $0.99 Ikea pillow because I haven't been able to find anything to replace it, and by the time I needed a new one, it had been discontinued. Poor hygienic decisions aside, the super flat, super thin, non-goose feather, crazy cheap pillow was perfect for my stomach sleeping habits, and held up surprisingly well despite Ikea's reputation for low quality product.Fast forward to about a week ago, and I'm looking for car camping equipment, and decided I don't want to take the Ikea pillow. It had gown two small holes and was starting to leak its guts a little bit and I didn't want it in the car, so down the rabbit hole I went, looking for a replacement, fully expecting to be disappointed yet again. But I wasn't. In fact, this pillow, or set of pillows, or whatever you want to call it, is the best damn sleep purchase I've ever made. Two of the inserts is PERFECT for me. Super soft. Easily molded to fit however you need it to. It's just.. it's perfect. And the bonus is that since I only need two of the inserts, I was able to divide up the six it comes into three separate pillowcases, and now I have a dedicated camping pillow, and dedicated home pillow, and my girlfriend has fallen in love with, and is now using, the third. If you sleep on your stomach, this should be a snap purchase. Don't question, just buy. It may even be good for side and back sleepers. It was pretty big with all six in one case. Anyway, I don't write reviews often, it takes a lot one way or the other to push me to the keyboard, but I HIGHLY recommend this pillow. I will be buying them for life.

Great pillow
I usually buy a pillow and cut it in half. It’s usually OK for about two weeks and then it all balls up inside. if I forget to take my pillow on vacation, I usually end up rolling up a hand towel or using a pair of sweats as a pillow. I wasn’t gonna buy this pancake pillow because it was $90 but I have to tell you it’s the best $90 I have ever spent. This is absolutely the perfect size for me. I put one in my suitcase and leave it there so I will always have an on vacation and I still have five of them.

slightly overpriced, yet worth it in the end.
pillow did not work out for me. 3 is soft and becomes too low and not neck supporting. 4 is a tab bit too high and more firm and hurts my neck since pillow tends to bubble up towards top and it curves my neck. 6 is just way too high and pretty firm. However, i was still impressed with pillow and in no way am returning it or giving it to hubby! The single pancake layers are soft & great and will come in handy for other uses for sure.. I stuffed three of the pancake layers into my old neck curve pillow cover case to use while i try & keep searching for the perfect pillow. Stuffing the pancakes into the curve cover resulted in a lightly firm, yet soft and supportive curved neck pillow that did not weight 6lbs nor feel like a brick like the foam did. If you have neck issues and are a side sleeper and have problems with this pancake pillow supporting you right, find a curve neck pillow cover case (like the one on the novaform foam curve pillow) and try the pancake layers out that way.**oh not sure what exactly the bonus storage bag is suppose to store but, it clearly is not the pancake layers! even if you rolled up to two extra pancake layers to make it fit in storage bag, it still would only cover 3/4 of the pillow! thinking i got the wrong storage bag, it looks like it was made to store a medium long round deco couch pillow instead.

Attention Stomach Sleepers!
Best pillow ever and I’ve owned an assortment in all price ranges. I am a stomach sleeper - so I used 2 layers.Husband is a side sleeper- he uses 3. No more neck pain! So, in essence, 1 pillow for 2 people. Incredibly comfortable.
