STURDY AND SUPPORTIVE
These are fantastic shoes, which is why they are hard to find in your right size. I ended up with the pastel lilac color as I didn't want brown and there were no other colors in my size. I have been pleasantly surprised with how much I like the color. The shoe itself is more of a dark grey with a green tint, the webbing is a wee bit lighter gray/green than the leather, and the touches of lilac are quite small but just the right bit of extra color. The heel and sole are super firm and rugged with the collar and tongue next to the ankle a bit softer. They were comfortable from the beginning. I normally wear a size 8-8.5 or Euro 39. I have skinny feet and long toes (which seem to be getting longer!). The 8.5 was a decent fit, but I worried about jamming my toes, especially with heavier socks. I lost toenails with my last shoes so I upsized to size 9. While a wee bit long, they fit my arch and I would rather wear heavier socks than lose my toenails! I've got them nearly completely laced together. The insole (in lilac) is also very sturdy with good arch support. With all of the sturdiness built in, they are not a lightweight shoe and definitely not good for running. Walking and hiking are fine. They are definitely worth the spendy price for my aging legs.

Amazing!!!
These are perfect! Being my first pair of real hiking shoes I was taking a risk buying online, the reviews seemed really positive. I have big feet, size 11! And these fit perfectly! I also have feet that are a bit on the widish-side (thank you, pregnancies!), and these shoes are great! I hiked in them right out of the box with zero issues! They are very sturdy, no ankle rolling, and no blisters! I love how well they grip, I did some mild bouldering and felt like Spider-Man! Also, the colors are awesome:) These are a low boot, so if youโre hiking through marsh or wetlands, creek beds etc. you may want to do with a taller boot? But Iโll be wearing these for most, if not all, of my outdoor adventuring. PS if they make these in a taller boot, I will buy those in addition to these!

Out-of-the-box to 5.2-mile hike
I bought these hiking shoes for a trip to Zion National Park, without much prep. So, without breaking them in at all, aside from trying them on the day before boarding an airplane to Utah, these were fresh out-of-the-box for a long day of hiking. I was really impressed by the performance of the shoes. My first hike of the trip was Angels Landing, a 5.2-mile round trip with 1,500 feet of elevation gain. I have a lot of trouble with closed toe shoes, but my feet felt surprising fresh after said hike. The shoes did feel 'tight' at first so I was really nervous my feet would be in bad shape, but the tightness never became uncomfortable, and instead seemed to really support my feet, while keeping them in place for the long decline after making it to the top. I did get blisters by the end of the day, but TBH that was to be expected with any new pair of shoes. Also, as well as being water-proof, these were sand-proof!

Great shoes!
If you have a wider forefoot and narrow heel, you should try these hikers on! They're the most comfortable shoes, from the moment I tried them on, of their class I've ever had--to the point these are my second pair ordered before my first ones wear out so I could be sure to still get them. Just came back from a 4-month camping/hiking trip out West and they've never rubbed or worn a blister, even on 8 to 10 mile hikes in the Canadian Rockies. Only reason not rated a 5 star is the soles didn't seem to keep their initial stiffness as long as I expected, resulting in a "foot-weary" (Not hurting-just tired) feeling at the end of long hikes. To be fair, these are hikers rather than backpackers, so perhaps never intended to be as stiff over the long hauls, but I like them so much I bought a pair of the Oboz Beartooth "backpackers" for the longer days. Highly recommend both the Sawtooth and the Beartooth!

The best hiking shoes!
These are hands down the best hiking shoes on the planet. They are comfy, durable, with outstanding quality. This is my second time purchasing these shoes and I canโt image purchasing another brand.

The only hiking shoe I'll wear
This is my second pair. Wish I could say I wore my first pair out with all the hiking I've done (I wish) but I actually burned a hole through my first pair while backpacking in New Zealand when my husband and I were trying to warm up after hiking in cold rain all day. Still hiked in them with a hole and they were great actually. In fact, still have that first pair to wear around but wanted the exact same pair to replace them with when I do my real hiking. I have tried other hiking shoes but these are the best. Sturdy, great traction and most importantly really comfortable. My feet swell when I hike and they never feel uncomfortable. Love them!

Really disappointed!
I really want to love these low hikers but I just can't. I had a pair a couple years ago in women's size 8.5 wide. They seemed to be a tad too small so this time I ordered size 9 wide. This pair is so much bigger it's ridiculous. It feels like an entire size larger, not just a half size. When I wear these on a rocky or uneven trail my heels get so sore I do not want to wear them again for a couple days. They are super hard-soled,so if you're walking on blacktop or sidewalks you don't want to go for long distances. Not sure if there is a long break-in period or if it's just the shoes. I'm returning them. So disappointed, I probably won't buy another pair.

sturdy shoes
I love the "wide" option -- they fit well and have a very sturdy sole. I walk a lot on trails with sharp rocks, they have stood up extremely well.
