They are almost always turned right side up for easy clip in. I have somewhat stronger legs but clipping out is not a problem at all. The power gained on the upstroke helps greatly. These are a little more pricy than others but I think it is worth it to have them turned correctly and just the overall quality is great. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great pedals, good value compared to Dura Ace *by J***S on January 25, 2016* I finally upgraded my road bike from eggbeaters to these bad boys. What a difference. I haven't had any problems clipping in or getting out. It takes a pretty firm kick to get out, which inspires confidence when out of the saddle. Light weight (compare to Dura Ace - trivial difference if any). The cleats appear to be fairly durable. Bottom line: id buy again in a heartbeat. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved the float of the Time pedals on my MTB ... *by W***R on February 1, 2015* Long time Time pedal user on both my MTBs and Roads. I loved the float of the Time pedals on my MTB so I got the Time RXS Carbon for my road. The RXS have worked great and I've had no knee issues. After about 2k miles on them though the bearings started to fail and I was getting a small amount of play in the pedals. I used them for a bit more ignoring the issue and finally called Time who warranted them, so they do have excellent customer service.In come the Shimano Ultegra pedals. I needed something to use while my pedals were at TIme and I've read so many good thing about these pedals. My main concern was the float and possible knee issues. I've used Shimano on my MTB and didn't like them. I must say that my experience on these has been a very positive one. The platform and power transfer of these pedals is incredible, much better than the TIme RXS. There is definitely a lot less float than the RXS but the Shimno still offers some, enough where I have no knee issues. I think what helps too is that I have wedges under my cleats for varus support.I'm so glad that I made the switch. These pedals are solid. Great build, weight and they look good. Plus they are easily serviceble.
