I love these pens. They write smoothly with bold black ink. You can also buy refills for them.

Been using these pens exclusively for 20 years. That 1.0mm point combined with the blue gel ink make this pen guides across the paper. Gives bold lines making print easier for my old eyes to read. Super comfortable feel in hand. Long ink life(keep the cap on when not use). Don't believe those bitchy - whiney reviews. Those folks are just looking for something to complain about. One thing I have learned about these particular pens is if you do happen to drop it and it does land point down. Toss that one and grab a fresh one (ruins the tip, will skip and drag). Ed

The one you’ve been looking for. If you’re here looking through the reviews, then I’m imagining you are looking for a really specific and very hard, difficult-to-find pen. This is the one. It’s blue, which makes it perfect for legal documents. It’s 1.0 mm, the widest available. It flows like you’re skating on smooth ice and yet totally in control. It’s like a generous amount of liquid that flows freely, and yet it doesn’t smudge or smear. Make absolutely sure you receive the MADE IN JAPAN models. If not, send ‘em back. If you listen to me, you’ll thank me, and that’ll make it a little bit easier to get into the heaven above. Thank you. PS: WHY BLUE? LEGAL DOCUMENTS? WHY? NOTE: Black and fax machines are difficult, impossible to detect an original from a duplicate copy. Lawyers require blue. You should too.

These aren’t called “Signo” pens for no reason. The very flowing liquid ink follows even the fastest signature flawlessly. The gel ink doesn’t run or bleed or spread on most paper. The bold 1mm line stands out. And the deep blue color looks great. These pens are perfect for signing. But, with a 1mm line, they’re not great for general writing, note taking, journaling, form filling, etc. For these applications, prefer the Uniball Micro. The 1mm line can be good for adding a quick note to a card, though. In short, these are a great pen for specific applications.

Excellent pen; agree with all the 5-star reviews, but need to add one minor caveat I've not seen elsewhere. The pen's cap includes a little rubber puck that mates with the pen's tip when the cap's on the pen (It's maybe 1/8 inch in diameter). On one of perhaps every 5 or 10 of these pens, the rubber puck falls out, and there's no way to reinstall it. I have never had a problem with this pen leaking - even with caps whose pucks are gone - but it does make me a bit more squeamish about putting it in my shirt pocket or a briefcase. I'm not certain of its purpose (stopping possible leaks?) but thought I'd add this. Otherwise - this pen is excellent and we will not use any other pens. You can find refills for less than $2 each, and about the only thing that fails eventually is the tightness of the cap staying on - but that's after year(s) of use. Great feel, easy to write, fast for taking notes, and really nice-looking print on the page. Yes - will smear on low-absorbency paper if not allowed to dry.

When I discovered these pens years ago, I thought I had found the best thing since slice bread. Truly, I love to write. Doesn't matter what I am writing I just love the act of writing. I have been told I have great penmanship, but that is only because of these pens. Seriously, when I write with a ball point pen, I haven't the control over my writing as I do with these Uni-Ball Bold Style Impact Pens. The pen doesn't control me, I control the pen. They last a long time. My writing and even my joy of just writing has increased and I owe it all to Uni-Ball. A while back I couldn't find them in any of the stores I regularly shop at. I couldn't find them anywhere. I found them on Amazon and I will pay anything for these pens. They are Over The Top in performance and handling comfort. I don't want to ever be without them. I write every a card or letter every night. I highly recommend you try these and you will never change. Those whom I have shared them with, are hooked. Thank you Uni-Ball.
