Good quality and size
Seems to be holding up well. Good size and easy to use.

We used it all year
This year she wanted pasta almost every day, so I had to be careful of the sauce, but she loved cute lunches and was more willing to eat real food instead of packaged snacks. Don’t just throw it in a bag, the lid will come off. It fits perfectly into a Thermos lunchbox with a zipper. Or part of the year we tied it in a cloth wrap. Rubber bands would also work if there is nothing drippy. The sections don’t keep liquids contained, which is why we use the little containers for sauce, ranch, or Nutella. Washes well in the dishwasher, but if you leave it submerged in water for several days, you run the risk of rust spots on the section seams, but not as sensitive as canning jar lids. Overall, it’s been a good year, and we plan to use it again next year.

Not leak proof and hard to open
I wanted something that didn’t have plastic and would be great for my daughters lunch. The compartments seemed great for options like carrots, pretzels and hummus. But the compartments leak so when I put the hummus in one it leaked all over the other food so she had soggy pretzels and hummus on strawberries. If you’re giving just dry food this will work for you. If you like to give anything that’s wet then don’t get it. For the washing - it doesn’t wash well. It’s hard to tell when it’s clean because it turns this slate dirty color until it’s dried then you notice oh there’s something in a corner. I tried the dishwasher and I still feel like it wasn’t clean.

Chemical free stainless steel container
This has been perfect for my son's school lunch. I like the various size compartments and the lid is easy enough for him to remove. I love the chemical free stainless steel container.

Doesn't have full seal between compartments - leads to all the food mixing a bit
Love the material and the fact that we can throw it in the dishwasher is great. The problem I have with this product is that the dividers do not have a full seal between each compartment. So if you have anything even remotely wet (like yogurt) it ends up going through the small spaces at the bottom and bleeding into the compartments next to it. These small spaces also are prone to getting tiny bits of food stuck in them. We do use it often, but I wouldn't buy this product again and instead look for one that has a full seal between compartments.

Used?
I really want to like this after all the reviews I read. I must have received a used one. There are dents and scratches all over the container. The inside part of the divider is broken (it’s detached from several areas) I’ve included pictures. I’ve reached out to the company so I will update my review. UPDATED REVIEW: 9/14/2021 I received a new bento box that was damage-free. I have used it for the past 3 weeks, 5 days a week. This has worked quite well in maintaining my child’s food cool and the compartments keep food in their place.

Best affordable option out there!
When I started shopping for a metal bento box for myself for my lunches, I was shocked at how expensive they were. I settled on this one because it had the best reviews and price point, and I have NOT been disappointed. The lid fits well, it's easy to clean, the sections are a good size, and it packs nicely in my lunch boxes. There are *some* small gaps under the divider walls, so if you have something runny it will seep under, but it hasn't bothered me.

A great value as compared to Lunchbots
A great value as compared to Lunchbots which we've used for years. The compartment sizes are slightly different and neither product is leak proof. The lids stay on securely and they wash up fine by hand or in dishwasher. The Bits Kits have a matte finish as compared to Lunch Bots. These are a great value! We bought 3 for the price of 1 LunchBot product.

Update: It has been almost a year and hundreds of washes through the dishwasher. Unlike the other expensive lunchboxes I've bought for my kids over the year this one's still looking exactly as it did the day I bought it: no rust, no scratches or dents. The lid still fits as well as it did originally. The only negative I'll add having used it for many types of lunches is: 1. doesn't fit the standard little sealed containers very well. I finally found a Japanese one that fits but the lid on most of those won't allow it to slide into the compartment and as a result the lid won't close 2. The 2 larger compartments BARELY fit a half sandwich. If you get any kind of artisanal or other bread, chances are you'll have to cut your sandwich down to fit. 3. Certain types of foods seem to react with the metal (like apple slices) and take on a weird metallic flavor. I was not expecting that! Overall, I'm still happy I bought this lunchbox! ------------------------------------------------- I was almost put off by all the negative reviews but found a gently used one here and thought $19 was a small price to pay if it didn't work out. I'm happy to say that the product arrived looking brand new and shiny in the original packaging. It's extremely sturdy and the lid fits nice and snug but is still easy to remove. All the rivets and machined parts are finished very cleanly. You'll have to forgive the photos because I just finished eating my lunch. It packs a full sandwich plus 3 snacks no problem. I'd like to find a small leak proof container for liquids but I'm not paying $40 + for the steel ones I've seen online. What I really like is the modular design and the small footprint. It's also extremely sturdy. I can push down with all my weight on the lid and there is no flex. While I'm using it for my work lunch I'm sure it would be great for hiking and other activities where you'd want a sturdy food container. Overall, I'm really glad I went with my gut and bought this. If I see another "used" one for sale I will definitely be getting some more. I'm just not prepared to pay $80 or more for a new one!

This lunch box is so fabulous I wish I had one years ago. I can tell it will stand up to long term use as I've already washed it multiple times. It helps to easily make a lunch with bits of fruit/veggies/nuts/crackers when you don't have much left in your kitchen.

Cute box, great size. I bought this so I could take charcuterie to work. The branding on the lid is a little unsightly. Lost points because the individual compartments are not completely sealed, so if you have something wet, it will leak into the other spots. Otherwise, would recommend. Edit: I cut my finger cleaning the interior with bare hands.

My son complains the items get all mixed up in the other sections sometimes ruining the food. Not worth the price imo.

I thought each compartment would be sealed from the other but there are little spaces so they’re not air tight. I don’t think it would keep things like crackers fresh as long as I need
