Waffle Pantry® Belgian Pearl Sugar, 16 oz (Pack of 2)

I bought this to make Belgian waffles and was not disappointed. There is a great recipe for Belgian waffles right on the back of the bag. I make mine in an All Clad Belgian waffle maker using 1/3 cup of dough for each waffle. The waffles are delicious! You can also add mini chocolate chips or other items to the batter. I make a batch and freeze the rest. Just heat them up for a few minutes for breakfast or a snack. Highly recommended.

These things…. Are REALLY good. We used these for when we were making Belgian waffles and they were perfect. They are still small so if you get one in a bite it is not over powering and is still super yummy!!! These would be great with anything baking. They would be perfect for pancakes or cupcakes. The taste of the sugar is really good and doesn’t taste fake

Loved this in Lèige waffles. My family was eating them faster than I could make them. They didn’t all caramelize but they did caramelize well with the intact pearls adding an extra special crunch. I will purchase this again.

I hate cleaning the Belgian waffle iron after as these caramelize on them...make sure you have a non stick waffle iron and give it a wipe after every batch or it will get so bad and you will have a hard time cleaning. At the end when the iron is still hot, I pour a little bit of water into the iron which turns to steam quickly and then you can have an easier time cleaning out the caramelized sugar. Do not eat the waffles cold as these can break your teeth when it's hard! Other than that, this does the job. It is necessary for authentic Belgian waffles. Took one star off because it's sooo expensive!

Love the pearl sugar! It works fantastic and it wouldn't be a Belgium (Liege) waffle without the pearl sugar! Grew up in Maastricht The Netherlands and the waffles were sold hot at many bakeries! My home town is 15 minutes from Liege Belgium

The sugar was tasty and I would order it again for a special occasion. I made some liege waffles, they were good but the sugar melted ALL OVER the waffle iron. Be prepared to clean up of you make them and make reduce the amount you add to the dough, a full cup was probably too much and may have reduced the amount of melted sugar to be cleaned up

Was exactly as advertised. Made the best waffles.

My package came damaged, and since its food it cannot be returned, and its also not me being picky about cosmetics. I was disappointed to see a rip in the bag and this sugar does not come cheap :/. as for the actual product, its fun, its tasty and i appreciate the recipe that was included on the bag itself, I am trying it and hope it turns out.
