Is there a grittier texture to this than the older formula? Yes. Does it preform and feel like the same once on your skin? Yes. It is not a bad batch or counterfeit like some people might think. Clearly they have changed the way they mix/make the cream because all of the ingredients are the same. The texture does feel different to the touch, but fine and normal once on your skin. If you have used this cream before, you will definitely feel the texture difference when you touch it, but it's completely the same as the smoother feeling cream and works the same. I was weirded out when I first felt the grittiness, but I kept using it and realized it is fine and the same as before. Also, when I say “grittiness” I don’t mean there is grit in it, it just doesn’t feel as smooth as the older version. I have ordered this multiple times and this clearly is how the cream feels now and I’m fine with it. I have been using this for years and can definitely say this stuff is great and don’t let the new texture sway you from buying.

I originally bought Egyptian Magic to help soothe my daughter’s eczema—and let me just say, this stuff lives up to its name. Within just a few uses, her dry, irritated patches started looking calmer, less red, and way more hydrated. It didn’t sting, it didn’t cause any flare-ups—just gentle, effective moisture that actually helps. The texture is thick and balm-like, but it melts beautifully into the skin without leaving a sticky mess. I only need a small amount, so even this 2oz jar is going to last us a while. I’ve started using it myself now too—on dry hands, chapped lips, and random rough spots. It seriously does it all. I also love that it’s made with clean, natural ingredients—no weird chemicals or fragrances to worry about, especially when using it on a child’s sensitive skin. Plus, it doubles as a healing balm, scar soother, stretch mark moisturizer, and even tattoo aftercare. (One jar, so many uses!) Tossed everything but my Eucerin and this and it's all i need. Love it. Nice and greasy and moisturizing, for sure. I have sensitive skin and this has i think 3 or four ingredients, no essential oils or fragrance. have purchased it now many times and shared it !

Truly an all- purpose moisturizer. Great value. Great for your entire face. Extremely pure and gentle for sensitive skin. It’s soothing and helps with fine wrinkles and lines. Not for oily skin, this cream becomes an oil on contact that is absorbed fairly quickly and lasts all day. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because it does not contain sunscreen, which I had previously used as my first line of defense from sun damage. But that’s the trade off for an all natural product.

This stuff has been great for my recent tattoo. It helped it heal quicker and helped with the pain. I also use it for my excessive chap lips. I got the small one, but I will be picking up the larger container.

I used the small jar for about a week...thought well its moisturizing so buy the big jar..mistake!!! My entire face is swallon with a red bumpy rash

After learning this product existed, I was super stoked to use up my moisturizer at the time so I could order this stuff. The reviews looked promising, and it is comprised mostly of bee-derived ingredients and I'm a sucker for anything made with honey, propolis, and royal jelly. Alas, it was not meant to be. Let me tell you about my skin: oily, but also resilient. I use maximum strength tretinoin on my face 2-3 times a week with no issue on top of salicylic acid, maximum strength vitamin C and so, so many other things. Stuff that breaks other people out or causes rashes, my face can handle no problem. But Egyptian Magic Cream was my skin's kryptonite. It broke me out and I became the proud owner of four bouncing baby blemishes all on my chin after three days of use. I ordered some vitamin C serum that I began using at the same time, so in order to find the real culprit, I stopped the Egyptian Magic Cream for a week and my complexion went back to being clear. Started using it again and I developed two more big fat red zits that will take another week to heal. I may not be a dermatologist, but I can recognize a pattern. I have never been acne prone, not even as a teenager and have never had a product break me out. Aside from this, I also noticed my cheeks looking very reddish and ruddy after using this product, almost like I was blushing. This has never happened to me before. So many people said this was a great product for oily skin, but I found it did not absorb well at all. It just sat on my skin and never soaked in, so every time I touched my face, I'd wind up with oily fingers. People swore up and down it wasn't greasy at all, but it was (I mean, olive oil is the main ingredient). While it does make a very nice lip balm, my face did not like this stuff. I reached out to the folks on Egyptian Magic to find out if maybe something else I was using could be having an interaction or if I was somehow using it incorrectly, but never got a response. I do not agree that this product is the same as Vaseline, though. I saw that in some of the reviews. Vaseline is thick and sticky, but Egyptian Magic Cream is just oil - it's not sticky or tacky and goes on smoothly. Perhaps the folks who felt it was no better than Vaseline received a bad jar? I fully understand that I am in the minority when out of 4,400+ reviews, 70 percent of them are five stars. This stuff just did not play well with my skin, for whatever reason. Maybe it was too rich or my skin just didn't like one of the ingredients, I'll never know. I took a chance on what is obviously a great product and it just didn't work out for me. I never had any reason to believe my skin couldn't handle this stuff, but there you have it. I've seen some folks say it's possible to get a fake product and I'm pretty sure mine is legitimate. I didn't want to give one star because it's nobody's fault this stuff broke me out, and the reviews speak for themselves about how well Egyptian Magic Cream works for others. But let my experience be proof that as hardy as your skin may be, everyone's skin has that one thing they really don't like.

Great for winter & super dry skin but not in a humid environment. Too oily & sticky.

As a first trial, I used the cream on my chapped and dry hands. Too greasy and doesn't soften the skin. I'm going back to my previous hand cream. I'm glad I bought a small jar, as, for now, I'm not a fan.
