Perfect. I wore this along with the other balaclava ...
I bought this for cycling and running in weather below freezing. My other balaclava (similar to the image below) does not have the nose piece and is made of fleece. My goggles would constantly fog up from the draft of warm air coming up around my nose when I would wear it so I decided to go with this one for the nose piece. The idea is that it directs the warm air down and away from the goggles so they don't fog. Perfect. I wore this along with the other balaclava over it in -15 F weather. I hadn't run half a mile before my lips started to freeze from the large breathing holes. I usually wear my second balaclava and pull it up over my nose and had never run across this problem. I pulled my second balaclava over the mouth holes which provided extra warmth and the cold discomfort ceased however, it was hard to breathe with both layers- I'll probably cut the holes out this one to allow adequate air flow. Adjusting the nose piece was also problematic. There isn't a way to secure the nose piece up against the nose. This causes periods where the nose piece is slightly above the skin, allowing cool air in. The nose piece is also a continuous piece of the overall mask fabric and not durable. The small attaching section is evident in the product photo. I ended up taking it off and going back to my original one. The best part about this balaclava is the neck piece; my neck was kept warm and the fabric did not bother or scratch. The scull cap is also nice because it allows the moisture to escape-my other one traps the sweat and freezes. I would recommend wearing an extra layer on the head because the the fabric is so thin (I wore it a second time and had a brain freeze). I would recommend this balaclava for use above 0F.

Good quality product-runs snug..
A snug fit, but under a snowmobile helmet that is probably OK. If you have a large head, you may want to buy one in a larger size.
