Mixer working well!
Didnโt want to review until I had used multiple times. Great little mixer for home and for my solo church singing. Just enough effects for live singing and volume control that I can hear with no latency.

Rock-Solid Mixer โ Just Replace the Included USB Cable
Hereโs a cleaner and more polished version: Great mixer with solid sound quality and a surprisingly powerful feature set for the size. If you plan on using it for streaming or connecting it to a computer, I highly recommend replacing the included USB cable with a quality USB-B to USB-C cable. The stock cable kept randomly disconnecting on my Mac. I switched to the Cable Matters 201002-BLK-1m cable and itโs been flawless ever since (they offer multiple lengths as well). As a standalone mixer, this thing absolutely rocks.

A beatmaker loves it.
I hate writing reviews, but I felt that the Mackie was worth it. In the past, I owned at 1202 vlz pro- not ever turning it off for about 25 years. Yeah, Iโm stupid that way. But the point is โ the 1202 still works other than having a little bit of issues with one channel but thatโs hardware that holds up! The Mackie profx16v3 has surprised me in many ways. I use the aux sends and subgroups way more than I thought I ever would. I have outboard compressors and EQโs so Iโm a bit of a power user but not a pro. I have been making music for over 25 years in that entire time I have only owned mackie mixers, but Iโve also owned universal audioโs stuff, motu, and Behringer audio interfaces. The reason that I bring up other gears that I kind of understand what sounds great, and sort of deduced that it kind of doesnโt matter what you have as long as it has a good noise floor as long as you can use other gear to beef it up. The mackies do with the new Onyx preamps. I looked it up & I think it was like 65dB headroom, it can cost thousands on other better mixers and be only 75db sometimesโฆso in that regard, another win. The crazy part is, I really like the onboard effects. Thereโs like no control over any part of them and thatโs why I like them. They come really quick in a mix when you just need a little reverb or just a chorus or a stupid echo- I use it a lot! Good job on that too. The reason that I picked the PROFX16V3 was because of the eight channels of inserts. I love inserts on mixers because of the way that you can compress or EQ or put effects on single channels, but still remain in the mix. What Iโm messing with now a little bit is that you can use an insert cable that has TS on one side and one TRS on the other side and route every Mackie insert channel to your multi channel audio interface and effectively make it into a tascam 12. โฆ it can do that! I would love to have something like the SSL BIG SIX, but since I canโt afford it, I use this and with some silly pirated plugins on top of this, I sound great enough with the mackie. Itโs not audiophile quality but itโs great. The onyx preamps on channels 1-8 can be saturated nicely! When I run out of them I feel sad when I just use the other channels haha. I would buy this again! Itโs built really solid and itโs a comfortable mixer for my small studio.

Decent product that needs better user guide for usb
I got the ProFX6v3. This is a decent compact size mixer/interface that suits my needs. All the analog inputs/outputs works expected. FX is also pretty good. My biggest headache is its USB IO when using with Mac. It took me the entire weekend to figure out how to get the computer playback music to go to the main mix. Before that, I was seriously considering returning it thinking it is defective. According to the user guide, it should be plug-n-play with Mac. Well, it is true that you don't need to download and install any driver. But what the user guide failed to mention is that, it is not truly 2x4 (2 track out from mixer, 4 tracks into the mixer at the same time). For audio from computer to the mixer via usb, you have to choose usb channel 1-2 or usb channel 3-4 in Mac's rarely used Midi app. If you only set up ProFX as the output in the Sound setting without changing the setting in the Midi app, you will always get the default setting, which is to usb channel 1-2 on the mixer. That means if you push down the usb 1-2 to Phone button on the mixer, you can hear your computer playback in the headphone. But if you push down the usb 3-4 button, there will be no audio to the main mix. To have the computer playback go to the main mix, you have to use the Midi app, in addition to the Sound setting, and configure its 2.0 speakers to use channel 3 and 4, and then push the usb 3-4 button down. I wish the manufactory did a better job on their user guide.

I love my Mixer, I use it for my speaker monitoring system to get the maximum levels out of my recordings. I feed my interface to the mixer and I can easily see how hot my levels are. perfect for live recording and live streaming audio. easy to use works with my Mac, easy to transport, as it is light weight.

Pro use review
I chose this board specifically because when doing live sound a mute button for each channel is really useful, most small boards do not have them. This board also has a mini-jack (3.5mm) input too so anything with a headphone jack output can easily plug into this board. The mic-pre's are the transparent high quality you would expect from the brand and for the price. The effects are clean and each channel eq is good. The outputs are both xlr and 1/4 for the mains, plus 1/4 control room outs with their own volume control. The board also works as a recording interface and comes with software included. I highly recommend this board for anyone looking for a recording interface, or for podcasts, live sound and home studio applications.

Sound quality is unbeatable.
Pre amp is what matters...its great. I was looking for effects but I do not find them that useful if it is singing. Usually we use basic effects. Bluetooth is what I am missing but when we need quality we must use wire and quality cables. This product is really awesome.
