Review: Forever will repurchase this! and works amazing for cystic acne - This is the only face mask I use! I STRUGGLED with cystic acne for my entire middle school and high school years. After hearing about this mask on social media, I thought why not give it a try. LET ME TELL YOU! The BEST and only facial I use now. When I feel or see a pimple coming, I do a facial, sometimes the next day or the day after- that pimple dries up. When I pop a pimple, I sanitize the pimple w rubbing alcohol and then place this mask on for 10 minutes- I found this method affective for my skin and prevents the pimple from coming back or spreading. I know a lot of people are against putting alcohol on your face, but this method works best for my skin/ pimples- may not work for everyone but I love it. Make sure to moisturize your skin after washing off the mask. Yes it smells like eggs, but it does wonders for my acne and that's why I keep repurchasing it! I wish I had a picture of my cystic acne before using this to prove how much this works but I was so self-conscious and deleted all my "bad acne days"

It works great on me and I have oily skin and have had acne all over since I was a kid and I am now a 30 year old woman who still suffers from acne breakouts. Of course I just get acne here and there, it's not nearly as serious as when I was a teenager. I have been going to the dermatologist regularly since I was young and I was always using Retin-A, and as a teenager Retin-A was affordable with insurance. However, as an adult Retin-A is not covered by most insurance companies and is hard to get a hold of so I had no choice but to use over the counter products most of the time as an adult. To this day I still never put oil on my face as I was told by my dermatologist and everything that goes on my skin has to be oil-free AND comedogenic (does not clog pores) and (I try my VERY hardest) to not touch my face because of all the bacteria on one's hands, but I had a hard time finding something affordable and over the counter to combat my breakouts. Salicylic Acid is not strong enough and Benzoyl Peroxide seems to make my skin produce more oil and (I know how its supposed to work...it's supposed to bring the oil and dirt out of your skin so the pimple is not so deep and it actually brings the pimple to the surface so it can naturally work itself out and off of your skin) when the pimples come to a head on my skin I am WAY too tempted to pick at my skin causing way more acne than I had in the first place so I was kinda stuck. I am able to get prescription acne medicine such as Adapalene which is expensive with insurance and you also have to include the cost for the specialty doctor visit making it unrealistic to keep in my bathroom on the regular or even use all over my body so when I discovered Sulfur Ointment I was so happy to see how effective it is in keeping my skin under control, not only with acne but with other random minor skin problems. I discovered it by accident when I was trying to keep bugs off of me I was told that sulfur ointment will keep all kinds of bugs off of me....I later found this particular brand by accident and read the reviews and saw that it is said to be an effective acne fighting tool and the reviews were RIGHT!! I was soooooooooo SOOOO HAPPY TO FIND THIS because I can order the 3 packs for so cheap and they last a while and I can actually apply them to the breakouts I sometimes get on my back and chest and arms without worrying about the cost of having to use so much of this product regularly and all over so without this PARTICULAR BRAND of Sulfur ointment I don't know what I would do. It works fast in comparison to other products. It really doesn't dry out my skin unless I use it daily for a while and don't use moisturizer and go in the sun alot. **Q: Does this work well for rosacea skin?**
A: Yes, but use it once a week only. It's only a complement to a daily cleaning and moisturizing routine. I had success with Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin, CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (lately using as pre-wash) and/or Daily Moisturizing Lotion. Lately, I had to change to fragrance free hair products too. Earth Science makes good fragrance free shampoo and conditioner; Eucerin Baby Wash and Shampoo is good too. If my hair is too dry, I use coconut oil on the ends before shampoo, might add argan oil to conditioner and seal in moisture with a drop or too of argan oil. For the body, I use Dove Sensitive Skin bar soap and same CeraVe moisturizers I use on my face. Hope this helps.

**Q: Is it better to apply as spot treatment or all over forehead?**

De La Cruz 10% Sulfur Ointment Acne Treatment can be used as both a spot treatment or all over your forehead. 

We recommend that you cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily, leave it on for 10 minutes, and finally, remove it with water thoroughly.

**Q: What lotion would you recommend that dont clogged pores after using this product? and also, can you use toner before or after?**
A: Personally I like to use it at night like this:
1 Spot treatment for 10 minutes of sulfur
2 rinse off sulfur and wash face
3 use a hydrating toner (I like L’Oréal hydra fresh)
4 neutrogena hydro boost (this is lightweight and works great morning or night!)
5 (optional) after hydro boost is dry I like to add a collagen cream for dewier skin (L’Oréal has one for ~$8 that I like)
6 (optional) add a face oil to lock in moisture (I’m currently using a rosehip oil)

Personally I don’t have a ton of money to spend on products, so all listed above are drugstore. As a note, the neutrogena hydro boost can be a bit pricey, but I like to splurge on it. It’s about $17. Hope this helps!

**Q: Is this good for dry skin?**
A: As indicated on the label, skin irritation and dryness may sometimes occur after use of this product, depending on the skin type and overall skin sensitivity. For those concerned about sensitivity we advise testing this product on a small area, such as the inner forearm, 48 hours before first use on face. Do not use if signs of irritation appear.

This is a GREAT product and does work for getting rid of acne, however I have ordered this product 5 or more times now and find it to be very inconsistant-sometimes it smells very strong of sulfur and works excellent, sometimes the sulfur smell is very faint and I feel the product still works but not as well-other times the container is not filled to the top however this time my container was overflowing almost BUT there is hard dried clumps of the product through out it. So when I am applying it I will have to take tweezers and remover the clumps or tey to catch them before the product is on my face. I love this product so I will continue to buy it, it is just I never know what version of it I am going to get so I always buy the smallest size because I do not want to get a large one and be stuck with a version I am not completely happy with.
