I was relieved to see that everything seemed to be intact. However, when I went to put it together I discovered that the hardware was missing. On closer inspection it appeared that the base of the umbrella had already been scratched up leading me to believe I did not receive a “NEW” item which seems to be a case recently. Considering I got it during Prime Day, at a very very good price, I am getting what I paid for. With something this big, sending back is more of a pain so I was willing to see if it was still good. I attempted to get the hardware from the manufacturer and sent an email but there is no customer service for the item. I went to a local hardware store and got the 8 bolts and washers needed. The size for the smaller one is not an easy one to find at all so I got one sized above and below to see if it works. It did. So for now the umbrella is up and works. At 10’ it’s very large and, very top heavy, so the stand that came with it is grossly underweight. I am trying decide on the best counterweight measures. I am considering screwing it in to the deck, or sandbags. For now cinder blocks will have to suffice. The umbrella itself is of very good quality. The adjustments and opening process are easy and smooth. Time will tell if the quality will match the low price. But I am concerned as one of the edges is starting to fray (see photo) If you are looking for a nice patio umbrella for a very low price go ahead and get it. But at normal price, I’d look elsewhere. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice but unstable *by G***Y on June 8, 2019* The. Umbrella itself is quite nice. And provides good coverage;;; but the box it was delivered in came all ripped apart and the hardware (screws and bolts) were missing. I did not feel like going through the hassle of repacking and shipping something this heavy, so I went to the hardware store and bought the missing parts. The stand it comes with will not by any stretch of the imagination support the umbrella when open, and I do not want to deface my customized pool deck with bolt holes, so I found large stones to weigh down the base. It’s unsightly, but at least allows me to use the product. Having better/clearer instructions would also go a long way for operating the unit. ### ⭐ Junk, dont wast the money *by R***H on June 7, 2019* We received the umbrella in a beaten up and damaged box that dearly looked to be opened prior. After opening we found what looked to be a broken returned item. No packaging just parts all jammed in the box. Upon further examination we found broken parts, and screws that looked like they tore thru the plastic ring that supports the top of the umbrella. I understand its a inexpensive unit, but it looks like places where they should have used metal its all plastic.
