Beautiful instrument, and works perfectly. What more could you ask for

The instruments work well and after some fine tuning are surprisingly accurate. What’s more I love how I installed them in my boat, they look great. There’s only 2 problems, the color is much more red than cherry and not what I expected but I can live with it. The other problem (for me) is there’s no way to attach a screw to the bottom it just hangs on one at the top. For hanging in a home that’s not bad but for my application it needs to be more secure. Hoping I can adapt but for now I’m happy!

First of all, I need to apologize to Ambient Weather. I left a negative review because I believed the barometer was not working. The instructions should be more clear, they said the screw adjustment on the back should be turned only slightly to calibrate altitude and there is a caution about turning it too far to the left. When it arrived, the arrow was pointing straight down. I turned the screw to the right and hit a stop. I turned it to the left as much as I dared with the arrow not moving much off bottom center. Later I noticed the arrow had moved on its own. This time I cranked the screw a lot more and the arrow moved anywhere I wanted. I calibrated it and everything is now working. I'm keeping it. Thank you.

This weather station is stylish and very easy to read. The accuracy appears to be spot on and the directions that come with it for reading the barometric trends is extremely interesting and helpful in watching the weather outlook.

it works well and is suprisingly accurate. of course the barometer is not dead accurate and you have to tap it like the instructions say but its pretty close for how cheap this thing is im pretty impressed. the temp and rel humidity dials are practically spot on or they maybe a little off but not enough to matter, not at least to me.

The hygrometer is worthless - it does react to changes in humidity but it can't be calibrated accurately. Set it to show 40% at 40% and it will be off by 40 percentage points at 95% - but set it for 95% and it will be off by 40 percentage points at 40%. The doc says you have to keep a hygrometer calibrated - which is true. But this one can't be, and in fact the supposed calibration screw is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's not a flat, it's not a Phillips or hex, it's kinda 'H' shaped. It is pretty, tho.

I purchased this item because I wanted to mount the weather station horizontally and this unit is advertised as being able to mount vertically or horizontally. It was made to hang vertically; it does not hang horizontally as advertised without several modifications. The mounting bracket is positioned for vertical mounting and there are no predrilled holes provided for mounting the bracket on the horizontal side. So, one must remove the mounting bracket; position the bracket on the horizontal side, marking where the screw holes need to be; then create starting holes and screw the bracket down. But that’s not all. The device is meant to sit about 3/8 inch off the wall but the two rubber spacers doing this are positioned for vertical mounting only and there is no pre-drilled hole to reposition the rubber insert. Either find a drill bit of the required size and drill a hole where one should be or, do as I have done, and discard both rubber spacers and use peel and stick felt chair leg protectors or something similar to provide the necessary offset. Now, you may want to rotate the 3 meters so you can read them upright and not bend your head 90 degrees. They are pressed fit and applying pressure from the back of the meters, you can push them out, rotate as needed, and then press-fit them back. Or, just hang the unit Vertically! The overall quality of the device is not high but is acceptable for the price paid.
