Peter Pan (Word Cloud Classics)

Just what I was looking for.

Peter Pan, the Ultimate Boy. Is there anything else that can be said? This book represents everything I believe in. Unlimited imagination and infinite worlds. It's incredible that J.M. Barrie originally published this over 100+ years ago now. He was way ahead of his time. In a modern world where humans are lost and disconnected and blinded by technology in way that were unfathomable in the early 1900's... this book has never been more relevant. It calls to you to remember the child inside. The one that could fly and live without fear. Pick up a copy and remember who you really are, and where you are going...

Peter Pan is an absolute classic! One of my favorite books. It's such a fantastic, (slightly) dark, and creative story.The version I got is the flexibound, and, in general, it's a great version (it even includes Kensington Gardens). The paper is thick and the cover feels substantial without being a hardcover. The green was a bit too bright for me personally, and I wasn't a fan of the sparkly title (but that's my fault for not noticing it in one of the seller's provided pictures).

Perfect keepsake for mother’s to be. It came in perfect condition. I love the soft cover and elegant pages.

It’s so odd reading older books through todays lense. The patriarchy and racism mar things. Some things have just changed too much. Women don’t all want to be mother and maid to senseless boys. We want our own adventures.

This is beautiful and feels so good in my hands. I've read this once a long time ago and only have a paperback copy. I am so glad I bought this version and cannot wait to fall in love with this story all over again!

Pretty book! I bought it for my son who's class is reading it while he is in quarantine.

Todos conhecem a obra, já a edição pode ser uma incógnita. Trata-se, entretanto, de uma publicação muito charmosa, a capa flexível torna o livro mais leve e se conserva melhor do que a capa dura tradicional; o miolo é feito de um papel muito agradável e de espessura superior à convencional. A diagramação não visa economia de papel e a fonte torna a leitura muito confortável.O único "porem" seria a impressão das pouquíssimas gravuras, que se assemelha a um xerox.

Me está encantando.Es del formato típico del tamaño bolsillo, eso sí, con la letra algo pequeña, sus 159 páginas de "Peter Pan" en sí, serían fácilmente 200 en un tamaño normal, si no tienes problemas de visión, adelante.Estoy preparando el B2 y me parece adecuado a ese nivel, busco que me salgan palabras que no conozco para ampliar vocabulario. Me gusta subrayar y buscar todo lo que no entiendo, así a lo tonto, voy aprendiendo. TRUCO: Te haces un documento word con todas las palabras nuevas por orden alfabético, a veces te vuelve a salir la misma palabra más adelante y no recuerdas su significado, de esta forma no tienes que escribir tanto en el libro y además esa lista la tendrás siempre, sin embargo, el libro seguramente no lo vuelvas a leer, lo prestas, lo pierdes...En especial de esta edición me ha encantado que tiene un anexo final de palabras y frases tipo diccionario, que te pone la palabra en contexto con un ejemplo sacado de otra novela clásica de Jane Austen, Mark Twain, R.L. Stevenson, Dickens, etc...Desde luego voy a estar pendiente a otros títulos que me llamen la atención de estos "Collins Classics" porque la relación contenido y precio es insuperable.
