The media could not be loaded. I have been using this honey refractometer for half a month, and it is the most satisfactory instrument I have ever used. The manual is at the bottom of the grey box. I don't like complicated instruments. This one has only three buttons and is very easy to handle. The READ button is used to read the value. The CAL button is used for calibration. According to my experience, if the instrument has not been used for a while, it should be calibrated before reading the value to ensure the correct value. I use distilled water for calibration. The SCALE button is for switching between the four scales of the honey refractometer. From the stickerThe honey refractometer has four scales that have been made very clear on the sticker where they put it on the grey box, you can know that the first scale is BRIX, the second scale is Moisture in honey, the third scale is Baume, the fourth scale is the refractive index. After pressing READ to read the value, you can switch through the SCALE button to know the corresponding values. I uploaded a video on how to calibrate. I also copied how to use it upon the seller's email.1. Drop pure water, wash the sample plate, and wipe it clean.2. Drop 0.2-0.3ml pure water again then close the cover.3. Press the "READ" button to turn it on.4. Press the 'CAL' button for 2 seconds to enter the calibration status Press the “CAL” button for 2-3 seconds till you see the ‘CAL’ flashing, Press the "CAL" button once again during the ‘CAL’ flashing to start calibrating.5. When the word "end" of calibration appears on the screen, press "READ", if it shows 0.0%(or 1.3330RI), the refractometer can remove the pure water and wipe it clean.6. Drop 0.2-0.3ml sample solution then close the cover. Press the "READ" key to get a reading of the sample solution.Any questions you can email the seller as they reply to me very professionally. They also provide a two-year quality guarantee. They told me if there is any quality problem, they will provide an exchange or return service. This is a pretty good shopping experience. Highly recommended!

Piece of junk
I spent hours searching online and went to the manufacturer’s website. I was unable to find any manuals online and no instructional videos. Tried multiple times to calibrate and failed every single time. Don’t waste your money or time. I wish I could return it for a refund but, I bought it a year ago and only now tried to use it. Even using AI, I was unable to get this stupid thing to work so now, I guess I will have to buy a different refractometer.

Nicely built unit and easy to use. Fairly new so no feedback on long term use.
Easy to use after reading through manual. One oddity is the lack of clarity which scale is being displayed. Each correlates with a read out number but the manual does not list the scale for each reference. A little confusing for the first time user. The case and related are great.

A great measuring device for honey makers!
I used this for several weeks for my honey qualification test. The four scales of this one filled my needs very well. Good honey has a Baume degree of 41.6% or more, a sugar content of 78.8% or more, and a moisture content of less than 20%. If this standard cannot be reached, then the Baume degree is better to reach 39.7%, the sugar is above 74.5%, and the water content is between 20% and 24%. I would recommend this unit for honey producers.

Don’t waste your money
The directions for this refractometer absolutely suck! Nowhere in them does it tell you what scale to use for moisture in honey. But that’s not the worst of it, trying to calibrate it was impossible, I tried for over an hour to no avail. Unfortunately I bought it over a year ago and this was the first time I tried to use it so I won’t be able to return it.

It is a very worthy buying
Very worthy of buying a digital refractometer at this price. The reading of the handheld refractometer will be different according to different people, which caused significant confusion in my bee garden. That's why I bought this one and got very accuracy readings after all. The point is when you put the sample into the hole of the metal area, wait serval minutes until the temp is stable. This was an excellent buying, and I am impressed with the accessories as well.

Useful instructions would be nice
I'm sure this is useful for something. It's listed as a "honey refractometer" nowhere in the directions does it say how to test for moisture content. Several different scales, not labeled, no tables in the directions either. Also needed a magnifying glass to even read the directions. Sending it back.
