Will this fit Walthers 75' auto train auto carrier?

I can not say for sure. It depends on the distance from the circuit board located on the trucks to the coupler. Most cars yes. But the Walthers rolling stock you describe has the trucks mounted farther away from the cars ends then most. The wires hold the flashing device and about an inch long from the truck mounted circuit board unless your really good with soldering 26 gage wiring where you could extend the length. However you could try. Amazon that returns without any issues.

It doesn't come with the screw, i have ordered twice, it is unusable as the whole is too large for regular truck screw. why is screw pictured and not

The screw pictured is typical for Bachmann freight cars as is the unit itself. You can use it other stock but to do you may need a grommet like spacer with it so that it stays centered and/or use a washer or a screw with a flange to holdit on.
