The Legacy Collection is Walt Disney Records line of collectible CDs, celebrating the anniversaries of Disney's most cherished and classic properties that have been enchanting audiences for generations. To honor these musical landmarks, this collection features the beloved original soundtracks, plus valuable documentary content that tells the story behind the music. Review: Quality - When it comes to the quality I was only expecting the 2 CDs. When it came in I wasn't expecting a mini booklet built into the case, but I love it. I have only listened to the first CD a bit over half due to the class I had to go to but it is absolutely beautiful . I also enjoyed the online album that I ended up getting alongside the CD, the beauty of the Pinnochio soundtrack made me feel like I was a kid again. 20/10 Review: This soundtrack - At least this is much better than the other ones that are not like the others I have

A NOSE AHEAD OF PREVIOUS RELEASES
The beautiful two-time Oscar winning music (Best Original Score, Best Song; 1940) to Walt Disney's timeless classic "Pinocchio" has been released in many variations through the years. This current double disc not only has the complete score but some added bonuses to make this a worthy collectors item. On the second disc are included a few selections from the film which did not make the final cut as well as a number of delightful "Jiminy Cricket" songs which were performed by the inimitable Cliff Edwards on the "Mickey Mouse Club" television show. The presentation of this new release is superb. Packaged in an attractive small book form with 24 pages of comprehensive film and music notes, lyrics and a collection of gorgeous art work from the film, this is the ultimate edition and the sort of loving treatment that this Disney masterpiece deserves.

The soundtrack as lovely as the 1950 Disney animated film
Love that the Walt Disney Records legacy collection contains (practically) the full scores to the films they were composed for, and "Cinderella" is no exception. Was surprised to hear more deleted songs and that there was a different song writing team for this movie. The demo tracks are a treasure enough, but the bonus disc also includes completed versions performed by modern music artists!

One Song Missing!
Of all Disney films, this one has my favorite soundtrack. I have two copies on vinyl which I have had since I was a toddler and at least one CD bought early in the CD craze. I bought this collection because it was the first really complete soundtrack score I had seen. Also, I wanted the "I'm No Fool" tracks as well as the promotional song about Honest John. But there's a missing song, one which seems to have been all but lost to the sands of time. My mother used to sing on the radio and when I was a kid she would sing the following song while bathing me: "Who can make a jellyfish shake and make the sharks turn pale? He's that undersea public enemy Monstro the Whale!" I spent years searching for the rest of the song which she said she couldn't remember. Only last year did I find out that a version had been included in a Halloween novelty song collection. Once I heard it, I realized that bits of the song had made their way into the incidental music in the film. Further research led me to the full original lyrics used in the promo. I heard through the grapevine that there is an original promo sung by Jiminy Cricket and knowing Disney, there must be a recording somewhere. They may have decided that the song was too cheeful and ruins Monstro's monstrous image in the film and thus didn't include it in this collection. Still, its a fun song and I wish I had learned the rest of it 50 years ago. "Way down deep in the ocean/ someone's causing a big commotion/ a whale of a whale and Monstro is his name!"
