Review: Find out for yourself why they call him Woody. - You know, I'm not a big fan of the Toy Story movies, and I don't care for Woody that much, but the second I saw this figure last year, with that alternate face, it shot up to the top of my 'Most Wanted' list. Revoltech figures sell out after a couple of months most of the time, but it seems like Woody was gone immediately, and for obvious reasons. Did anyone who saw that alternate face NOT get a bunch of dirty ideas for pictures? A few shops managed to get in what seemed to be a second wave of shipments mid-last year, and once more, they were gone in a flash. After that, if you wanted to get your own Woody (pun...semi-not intended), it was going to cost a pretty penny. Upwards of a Mr. Benjamin for a little 6-7" figure? Seriously?! Well, I didn't think I'd be saying this, but after I managed to finally get one for myself, I have to say that it's worth the money, but I'm still glad I only paid about half of what he's currently going for. If you've never owned a Revoltech figure before, you're in for a treat. Revoltech toys are known for their amazing articulation, allowing you to put the figure into tons of different poses. I've owned Gamera and Giant Robo in the past, and was floored by how great the articulation on Gamera, a stubby and bulky monster turtle, was in this scale. Woody here easily surpasses those figures in the articulation category because of his body type. The following areas can be moved: Head, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, torso, waist, upper legs, knees, shins and feet. All of the joints bend easily and provide endless display options. Of course, the key selling point for this particular toy is the swappable faces with movable eyes. Both portraits feature little pegs on the back of the eyes that allow you to move them around, making Woody hands-down one of the creepiest toys ever with that second face. Moving the eyes can be a little tricky if you move them too far up or over, so have some tweezers or something thin and flat ready just in case. The little white tool shown in the stock pictures wasn't included with mine, and there's no slot for it on the accessory tray either. Unless you somehow don't care for the second portrait, the regular Woody face is probably going to be the most neglected accessory here. Woody also comes with 4 extra hands- two gripping right hands, an open left one and a pointing left one too. One of the right hands has a peg in the palm, to be used with Lenny. Lenny is the little blue binoculars toy included here as well. Unfortunately he doesn't have any moving parts, despite having the little wind up knob, and the feet looking like they can move. He's still sculpted nicely and looks great when held. There's also a Buzz Lightyear hand included, so Woody and Buzz can both hold Lenny simultaneously. The other accessories are a microphone, Woody's hat and a little black nameplate that most Revoltech figures come with. And of course, Woody looks great. The sculpting is top-notch, with every detail included, right down to the pull-string on the back. You can also move his hankerchief around, and the belt is a separate sculpt. When the torso is removed from the legs, you can adjust the belt if needed. The only things to watch out for with this toy are the joint pegs. Don't pull too hard on the hands when swapping them, or the face when pulling it off, so nothing breaks. When I had Gamera, the pegs on his changeable feet snapped off effortlessly, so extra caution is needed. Fortunately, Woody's joints and limbs don't seem to be -as tight- of a fit as Gamera's, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Still, once a peg is busted, the only option most people will have is gluing it in place, ruining articulation on that joint. Just be careful when posing these figures and everything will be fine. When I placed my order for Woody, I was on the fence about canceling it, but I'm glad I let it go through. This is one of my favorite figures, and with the great articulation, Woody is able to make use (ugh, bad word choice) of many of my other figures. Get him before the price shoots up again!

You know, I'm not a big fan of the Toy Story movies, and I don't care for Woody that much, but the second I saw this figure last year, with that alternate face, it shot up to the top of my 'Most Wanted' list. The glorious rapeface woody. just it's meme valor worth the price for such a tiny toy. it's sturdy and poseable, like most revoltech toys. also the details are really beautiful and well made. even the box is something to behold

Scumbag Woody has arrived, and I must say, I am NOT disappointed. He arrived today, right on time, and he is just the best figure I've invested in. This figure is not an ACTION figure per say, he definitely isn't meant to be handled by any child (unless that child is a sound collector of course) and makes more for a nice addition to your shelf, book case, or wherever it is you decide to put the little devil. 5/5 great figure, recommended. GET IT!
