It's rarely that I want to comment on a book unless it really touches me, let alone now I am at 71% of it. I couldn't help it. 1. I used to think maybe God doesn't have any plan for me for a partner because when I look around I do see some people single till they die. Then the author uses Bible scripture to help me understand God doesn't want us to be alone and that's why He created Eve for Adam, and that's why animals are in pairs. 2. It mentions the importance and gives multiple examples on how to discern the voice from God, enemy of God and our own desire, one most important way is via "CONSUL", asking 3rd party mature believers or someone we can trust to help us identify the voice. 3. Define the relationship before investing. Very practical method and prayers to say to God for help. 4. Further confirms that the partners must be a believer. I used to think it's alright, but after the recent breakup I realize I don't want a non-believer partner anymore. Thank you Susan!! This is a great book!!

As a woman in her upper twenties, who has been dating someone for a year, I was looking for a book to remind me to “hear God” in my relationship and give me a clear sign this is “The One” for me. Although this book is mainly geared towards single women who have a friend in mind or someone they have their eye on, I got a lot out of it. It gave me some things to think about and allowed me to look at my relationship from a Christian perspective, as I should. I enjoyed reading it and would definitely recommend to anyone who is single, in a relationship, or on the verge of marriage!

I felt like the title of this book was very misleading...it made me think that the author would give advice on how to discern if a man you're thinking about is God's best choice for you. But it was more of a "how to find a husband" book, Christian style. Basically, if you just want any husband who is a believer, you'll probably find this book helpful. She does go into bad traits to avoid in a future husband, as well as some good traits to look for. But the author says several times throughout the book that we have free will (which we do) and that God has laid the choice in front of us as to who to marry among the pool of believers. Basically, that you can choose from any option you want as long as he's Christian and there's some degree of compatibility. No mention of God knowing who will fit you perfectly and will handpick that man to come into your life. She even says at the end of the book that whatever man you end up marrying is "The One". And the advice in chapter 3 is terrible: she says that if you have a guy friend that you're interested in but he hasn't made a move or tried to pursue you, you should have a "define the relationship" talk where you tell him how you feel and ask him to consider you as mate material. I firmly believe that in 99.99999% of the cases where a man doesn't pursue the woman, it's because he's not interested in her as mate material. And yet the author advises this course of action to all single Christian women as the right thing to do, just because it happened to work for her mother and father. I guess I'm one of the few that didn't find this book very enlightening or inspiring. To a woman who believes that God knows who's best for you and will bring that person to you as your perfect match, this book was very disappointing.

I was a little skeptical at the start of this book but I really feel like it was something I needed to read. I smiled and I cried. After coming from a broken engagement and going through the healing phase I knew it was time I let God take control of my love life and to prepare myself in the meantime to become a good wife to whoever he has planned for me. So if you're single, newly single, in a relationship or even married it's a great book to read!! I highly suggest it, it will bring new hope or rekindle that fire of hope in waiting for God to bring you the man or woman into your life. I honestly wish I didn't have an ending and just kept going but I will for sure be reading it again and again.

A great book that all men should read. Although written for women this will show what real men should be doing to be a good husband and worthy of God’s gift. If you are a man and are seeking a spiritual partner in your walk with Christ this is a great guide. Plan spoken based on scripture. Be prepared, if Christ is your first love you will weep for the joy that your Father has given to you. I’m divorced (a Christian that didn’t follow anything that the author recommends) and have been blessed by His forgiveness. I would encourage every man who seeks the blessings of God for a spiritual partner to read this.

Susan gives great Godly guidelines that we as Christians (living by God's) grace should take into consideration. She breaks everything down from the thoughts we wrestle with and the quiet soft voice we hear (from the Holy Spirit), but we sometimes are not sure if this is from God. Every chapter is meaningful and gives so much insight on relationships, what God is telling us, and the best guidance for us. I am reccomending this book to all my girlfriends, even if you think he's the one. Sometimes we can get too caught up into our feelings by avoiding the voice of God. Read this book with an open spirit (asking God to reveal His plans for your future); and you'll see what all God is saying to us; God loves us so much and desires the best for us according Jeremiah 29:11, Amen!

I'm so glad God brought this book my way because I had many 'demons' I didn't know about but I thank God I was able to deal with them. I have learnt so much from this book and it's evident that God's hand was in the writing cos it sure Felt like He was talking to me as I was reading the book. I've already recommended it to many Single friends of mine and I know they'll be blessed just as I was.

Definitely recommend this book to read, in depth and to the point. Answered a lot of questions that I had.
