I returned the first one that arrived as the lid didn't fit. The metal around the rim is quite thin and pliable and it must have had a bump or two on the way here as it just didn't sit properly. The new one is fine, the supplied brush and shovel are handy accessories. Let's see how long it lasts.

Great for a small fire place. I don't have a large fireplace it's a wood burner so it works great for me... But if you have a larger fireplace maybe this bucket is too small. Also, I used this part of the season... So, with regular use I may need a bigger one...Keep your ashes for gardening season :)

For safety sake only use a metal ash bucket when clearing out the fireplace. 36 hours after or last fire there were still red embers in the ash.This is a cute little bucket. Sturdy. Comes with lid, flat shovel, and brush.Wood ash is great for the lawn/garden too!

It's a bucket so it's kind of hard to screw up but this version isn't really worth the money. It's not very sturdy and the quality is poor. I expected more for the money. That said, it works exactly as advertised: it holds things...
